shelves are a perfect the height is excellent. top is wide enough to be used as a countertop / prep table and not an eyesore in the kitchen. easy to assemble the weight of the shelves are little heavy if your building alone I recommend to slide the top shelf between the bottom rack to support the middle shelf in this section of building before you screw in the bottom rack, this will help with the support of the middle shelf ,then screw one screw on the left side to hold it up then one screw on the right side and it’s now balanced to where you can go back and screw in the remaining 2 screws on each side, slide the shelf out you used for support and continue building. the functionality of the island is perfect and look great. the price is comfortable much recommended and it’s sturdy . One of my smarter purchases. Highly recommend.

This "kitchen island" ( I used it for extra storage space in my home office) looks very nice when assembled and was actually relatively easy to assemble - I did it with a partial assist from my long suffering wife - in about an hour-and-a-half to two hours, working deliberately at at a pace that my 78 year old body allowed, but, of course, that timing depends on how fast you can work. The workmanship was on the good side for this type of unit - not too much bending and twisting to line up the slightly misaligned screw holes of mating parts; maybe only 10% were any real bother and were overcome without much trouble at all, a sort of record for most of these inexpensive imported furniture pieces. All the parts were clearly labeled and they provided extras for all the bolts and screws. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The "wooden" veneer shelves were thin but very attractive and arrived unmarred, as did all the metal pieces as well. The island feels sturdy and works very well for my purposes while looking quite nice, especially considering the low price.

I searched for months for an island for our kitchen. Everything I found had that farm house esthetic. This one is simple in design, but looks very nice in our kitchen. Its sleek and functional. Very sturdy and easy to put together. Instructions were straightforward. It's held up very well with our three crazy kids. I love it.

this is a very nice kitchen island, larger than I expected. It was a little off kilter but I was able to adjust the knob on the leg and it is very sturdy now. Well worth the money. No scratches or dents, very well packaged.

A great sturdy shelf at the perfect height for a kitchen island. Our kitchen is very small and doesn't have enough counter space, so we are actually using it as an extra kitchen counter. It's deeper than you'd think from looking at the photo, lots of space for storage. The slats on the lower shelf are pretty wide, but good and sturdy for things like heavy pots and cast iron pans. It isn't very difficult to put together, which is good because ours came with an instruction manual for a different product. However, everything else was consistent with the product we ordered and there were no pieces missing or extra pieces. Me and my partner did it all ourselves, some of the parts are a bit heavy so it might be difficult for one person to do alone.

I was a little nervous, although I premeasured where I wanted this, I still was unsure. It was easy to assemble, easy to move around and is exactly what I was looking for. Organization is sometimes difficult for a smaller place, but this makes it so much better. The quality is awesome. It handled all the holiday goodies i made. It looks great in my kitchen.

I had a bit of difficulty lining up the screws to put it together but my poor eyesight did not help. Very nice, sturdy unit. I have it next to my kitchen island and it doubles the counter and storage space.

This is decent quality furniture for an affordable price. Much better than what I have typically found at "affordable prices".. (and then, typically, returned). I just received this the other day, and assembled it today all by myself (a woman with a weight lift limit...) So far, I am happy with the quality of this item. First, I am very happy with the packaging! Each piece was well packaged, and protected for shipping, with decently designed packaging. And this makes a huge difference for me, because I have received so many things damaged for lack of proper protective packaging! I really, really don't like returning things, especially large, heavy things! Second, everything needed for assembly was included in the package, including the allen key, anti-tip devices, and even extra hardware in case anything goes missing... Nothing was missing, but this was a nice little extra. All pieces fit together well. The table top, and upper shelf, are particle board. Mine had only a very, very slight warp to it, which seems well straightened out after assembly so not an issue so far. The item was easy to assemble and came with logical instructions that were very, very easy for me to follow. I estimate it took less than an hour for me to put together by following the simple instructions. This item is also much more sturdy than some other items called "affordable" furniture (AKA garbage..). It is not as sturdy as the kitchen counter that the sink sits in... but it is also not rickety and ready to fall over if you look at it! I expect this unit will be suitable for the small kitchen appliances I need the extra space for. All the pieces fit nicely together and.. get this... the shelves rest on bolts that go into plates that are inset into the steel legs rather than on screws that are drilled into the sides of the particle board... Nice!! I am so happy to find intelligent design, that I cannot help but give 5 stars - at least until I find a reason not to. The only issue I have found, so far (and in case you haven't guessed, I am a very, very picky shopper...), is that the surface of the particle board could be more durable. It is not quite kitchen counter material (like that good old 60s/70s melamine-like kitchen table), but it is better than that paper-sticker covered particle board book case! I would protect it from moisture and heat - the instructions do say to wipe up spills right away. I think it will last, with common sense care
