Can it be plugged in while using it?

The Multimatch 8 can be used plugged in. The charger doubles as a power cable, so you can run it either on the battery or using the cable. If you are running the light on battery and wants to switch to the cable, you will have to turn it off and remove the battery to plug in the cable.

Can it be used in Japan? 100V in Japan

This light will work in Japan as all of our chargers are multi voltage (100V - 240V) compatible, but you should be aware that the charger is not certified in Japan. You will probably also need a plug adaptor for this to fit your electrical outlet.

what is battery run time like at some of the higher settings?

On 100% output, the runtime is 1 hour. On the 10% setting runtime is 10 hours.

Is this 110V or 220V?

The Multimatch 8 sold here in North America comes with a regular US plug, and it will run on either 110V or 220V.
