Looking for a professional quality mechanical pencil? Look no more!
After my last beloved .3mm pencil broke after years of use I finally decided to try two new mechanical pencils so I ordered this one and the Japanese UNI Kurutoga. I'm quite happy with both purchases. Each one has a different feel to it. The GRAPH 1000 is about the same thickness as a regular pencil, it's body is a very solid feeling plastic, the pencil itself feels very sturdy and heavy in the hand. Being someone with metal allergies I like the plastic body a lot. It has a clip on the end of the pencil right before the eraser cap so you can clip it to your shirt or other thin objects. The eraser cap has a small window that can be rotated to display what kind of led you have currently in the pencil HB, B, 4H, 3H, 2H, and H.The grip, is made up of small pads that seem to be silicone or something like it. They give it enough texture around the tip that it keeps the pencil from feeling slippery in your fingers but aren't enough of a cushion to keep your hand from getting sore after a lot of concentrated use as with any writing utensil that lacks a cushioned grip. This pencil feels great in hand and has a nice weight to it. The .3mm gives wonderfully fine lines that are excellent for drawing or writing small fine characters. I would definitely remind this mechanical pencil. If and when it breaks I will be buying this same one to replace it.

Awesome.
Love this pencil. Very fine tip lead 0.3, just what I wanted. Feels great in my hand. I have very small hands. Being a female with minor arthritis, I was concerned about the weight and comfort of it as I drew with it. Has not been a problem. It's very comfortable. I almost bought a much more expensive pencil thinking it might be better but I'm so glad I went with this one instead. I'm very pleased and would highly recommend. For the price I believe it is well worth it and would definitely buy again. FYI I am a watercolor artist and use this pencil mostly for making line drawings prior to painting. Leaves nice lines that can be seen but are easily obscured by the watercolor paint. Love this pencil.

Best pencil I have ever had
I used this my first 1.5 years of college until last week where I lost it I had the 0.5 version, when I bought it I was worried that the end piece (the last part that touches the lead I forgot what its called) would break however it never even dented or scuffed and it helped secure the lead, after using another mechanical pencil I realized just how well it worked also I never saw a review on this but if I remember correctly the indicator shows HB, H, H2, H3, and B I could be getting that slightly wrong but yeah.

(((This is a real Sleeper mech)))
Ok, I will try to keep this review from dragging out, but anybody that normally reads my reviews will know that never really happens. I’m gonna start this by saying, yes I am giving this mech a full 5 stars. This pencil punches way above its weight class. And when you see the price I paid was a sale price of 57% off, equaling out to a total of 8.57 for a Pentel, it’s obvious that this was a strait steal. Now this mech has been in production for well over a decade with no changes made to its build. And after a thorough multi hour test drive and months of use, I can easily tell why it never needed an upgrade through the years. So let’s get to the technical aspects so you will have a complete rundown of any hits and misses this may have for personal preference and/or issues. Now I have heard a few people claiming that this has an alloy body. That is false. The body is in fact plastic. However, it does have a metal sleeve under the rubber grip to give it a more rigid feel. Now when I seen this mech I figured the grip on this mech was hard plastic, but was surprised that cool looking texture design is a very nice soft grip rubber. The transition tip is another nice addition seeing as how they use the tubular design. Something to note here, is the needle tip itself is one of the longest I have ever seen on a mech, and I love when Mechs have longer needles. This one extends out over a quarter of an inch, making it a breeze to get that fine detail position on paper. And as usual, Pentel made that needle tip very precise. The lead fits very snug with no excessive play. So you won’t have to worry about lead breakage or chattering. The push clutch feels very firm and strong. And since it has a brass 3 jaw clutch, you won’t have an issue with feed and brake. Lead extrusion equals out to around 0.4 to 0.5 per click, so getting a fine tuned length for personal preference is easy. The cap does have a hardness scale window so you can set it to the type of lead being used at any given time. The choices being “HB-B-3H-2H-H-F”. A lot more choices than most other Mechs will add, though I personally never use that function on my Mechs. Now this pencil comes in a “0.3/0.4/0.5/0.7/0.9” sizes. So buying this in your favorite is nice. I know everybody has a size they feel is more comfortable using. For me personally, it’s a 0.3 or a 0.5 . Something to add here, is the black paint on this mech is a nice satin black. Not that cheap looking shiny black. And even though the weight on this mech is a light 0.39oz/11grams, don’t let that fool you. Like I said earlier, this mech punches way above its weight class. All this technical talk aside, this pencil feels like a precision tool in your hand. It may not have the weight of a Rotring, or the stature of a Koh-I-Noor, but it definitely feels as good. Listen, I gotta be honest here. This pencil feels as good as a 20 to 40 dollar mech. And with that 8 dollar price tag, you would be a fool if you didn’t jump on at least one of these. Maybe even the whole set of sizes. But this is just my opinion as a collector. On a side note, don’t listen to some of these reviews complaining about how hard it is to find replacement erasers. You shouldn’t be using the built in erasers on Mechs anyway. Grow up and buy a separate eraser like the Tombow Mono eraser. I know, once again my review turned into another long winded praise, but I just want people to know what they will get. And not just a single line where somebody says “I like it a lot”. So I hope this review helps some of you out trying to decide if this is the right mech for you. If so, mark this as helpful. Thanks!

It alright.
Very light pencil. The only thing made of metal is the screw on cap at the tip. The grip is removable. The eraser is a standard z2-1 and comes with a tip cleaner at the end. The pencil feels a little cheap. The lead pipe is so thin that it's almost gauranteed to poke through any cloth, so be careful how you store this thing. Also, this thing ships in a plastic bag with not protection, so you might end up with a bent tip.

Well made, and available in the most popular lead diameters.
This is a well designed, functionally perfect and 'felt good about buying it' priced writing instrument.

The creme del la creme
You're not going to find a better 0.4 mechanical pencil. The matte grip is excellent, the weight distribution is great, and the overall feel of this pencil are all top notch.

Ranked #1 out of 6
I love doing Kakuro and crossword puzzles and I have an obsession with 0.3 pencils. I’ve tried 6 different versions of 4 different brands and so far this pencil ranks #1. The grip is comfortable and smooth. The lead doesn’t easily break when you add a little pressure and it writes as smooth as butter. Only downside was trying to find replacement erasers. Had to go through hell and high water and the ones I did find were half the length of the one that came with the pencil. The packaging could’ve been better and they could’ve added extra erasers and lead especially for the price. But just going off the quality of the pencil, it is great.

Punto di riferimento per la sua categoria. Leggera e bilanciatissima, ottima impugnatura e meccanismo inpeccabile.
