1994 Gen X classic!! Great movie and my teens recognized the cast!

If you're looking for that quintessential nineties vibe, this is your movie. It was really well done and Winona Ryder nailed it...like always.

Hey It's The Sunnydale Chick, and I had just bought several movies (and the show My so called life) That helped remind me of High school).....cause unlike some.....I ACTUALLY did fall in love with my Best Friend who proposed to me In High school...and this is for him specifically......although my friends know about our love story 2......and I wanted to say Yes that's also why I love these kind of movies and Tv shows and such....Including Buffy for characters like Faith....and Angel for characters like Conner....one's who don't REALLY think they have a place cause they aren't like everyone else, but turns out they HAD a place all along......it was just with a different crowd.....and that's what me and my guy have ALWAYS had ......we'd skip school, and lived together (yes even then) and it was REALLY great until this one day when I had to move away, and when THAT happened......we spent the whole day together......wanting SO BADLY to run away together (like at the end of Ameican Beauty which is why I bought that movie as well.....and we even wrote a song called 16 and life based on how we fell in love in High school (from The Skid Row song 18 and life) and that's our main song now. That was a pretty rough day.....but after we always knew we'd get back together and we did.....and were Very happy together......and that's my Love story I promised I'd tell; but if you're wondering about Corey Feldman and some of you could be.....if you've seen Lost Boys 3.....Well that's what my Bad Boy's like. A Senior in High school when I was a Junior.....and he's also like Troy.....and still 2 this day(just like our friends and the other students all thought....we are still together.....and we've never been happier.....So what I wanted to add to that.....was if you fall in love in High school GO FOR IT......cause you DON'T EVER want to miss that chance!

Watched this for free with digital credit! SO good to watch this after so many years. Great cast and soundtrack.

In addition to being the Best movie of the 90’s! This movie has a relatable feel ..that makes sense to my youth days and how it was! But once you do become an adult we realize that reality really does bite

So true to the 90's in your 20's. Living with roommates, drama, wanting to "make" something of yourself by age 23.... MANY great quotable moments in this movie. Perhaps I love this movie because my sister and I used to quote it all the time, but......just watched it again recently and it is as great as I remembered it.

I first watched this video years ago while going through a divorce. Still to this day, it is a go-to movie for me whenever I'm feeling blue. Ethan Hawke's performance was superb.

My Sharona was so early on in it I was done watching at that point. Ethan's character was a self-centered jackass. Winona's character was 15 years old mentally. Ben Stiller over acts again. I can't figure out who mugs for the camera more, he or Tom Cruise. I've always had a soft spot for Jeanine Garofolo and mad respect for Steve Zahn. As much as I didn't like this film. I'm glad I saw it to get my personal perspective on all the hype. It wasn't trash. But I see how its style paved the way for a hundred and fourteen other films done the same way during that era and after. It was a rom-com without any comedy. Coulda used some.

I LOVE this film! The characters are exceptional with the possible exception of Ben Stiller who plays the most annoying yuppie ever and who drives you to distraction with his inability to express himself with even the most simple of words. However, the articulate and linguistic delight that is Troy Dyer (Ethan Hawke) more than makes up for it. It is impossible to not fall for his character. His eventual 'get-together' with LeLaina is inevitable despite their sometimes vicious arguments and personal attacks.......yet we know it is all in the name of love. Their dancing in the petrol station to My Sherona has to be one of the most humourous moments in film history. A brilliant must-see film.

Esta peli es la típica pastelada romántica sin puñetero fuste, el guión apesta, los personajes van de inteligentes y profundos pero no pueden hacer más el gilip... hay escenas que dan vergüenza ajea, sin embargo no puedo dejar de revisitarla cada x tiempo. Me encanta! y mira que es mala cojones... Será xq Winona no ha estado más guapa nunca, por la banda sonora de Lisa Loeb y el resto de canciones o porque sí q hay química con Ethan Hawke, o por la época (qué grandes esos años 90). En fin... placer culpable. La edición está genial, súper completa.
