Feel glamorous even when you're lounging. In the Glamour Scuff Slipper, you'll put your feet up in high style. This soft, buttery leather slipper with snakeskin print uppers begs to be touched and worn for as long as you can get away with relaxing. We love the contoured design and you'll love the Glamour Scuff Slipper's lightly padded footbed with a slight wedge heel. In 1881 Daniel Green, a young traveling shoe salesman for the Wallace Elliott Company in New York City, visited Dolgeville, New York. Daniel was shown a pair of felt shoes fashioned from waste pieces of piano felt which had been made in the Dolgeville Felt Mill. Daniel Green noticed that these felt shoes were worn by many factory workers to keep their feet warm and comfortable on the cold factory stone floors, and thus a legend in footwear was born. Review: Great slipper, but they’re really narrow - Love these slippers. They’re so comfortable Review: Comfort, good fit, and absolutely great looking! - I liked everything about these slippers. In the beginning they were a little snug. But I two days they were perfect. You see all my other washable bedroom slippers were getting wider, not fitting right. I remember my Aunt wearing Daniel Green slippers. I thought they were beautiful. Many years ago they looked more sophisticated. Hers had heels about 2” inches. Made with satin, very dressy. I hate to say how long ago that was. I love my new leather pewter colored Daniel Greens. Mine are the style of mules slip in. You will I think be very happy with these slippers. CM Baker

Missing the comfortable fit of the Original Daniel Green Slippers!
I bought these shoes for a relative who had raved about the comfort and support of this brand of shoes. Unfortunately, when she tried on the slippers, she immediately realized they were not Original Daniel Green's. She said the shoes were not made using the same materials as they had been many years ago. The look was the same, but the fit did not compare to the Original Daniel Green slippers she had purchased, over the past several decades. She described the Originals as very well-made, with the kind of excellent comfort, support and cushion that made her forget she was wearing shoes! She decided to keep the slippers, hoping they just needed "breaking-in". Well, after several weeks of trying to break them in, she gave up because the slippers were so uncomfortable. She is very, very disappointed.

Sized for Barbie and not human feet
I’ve been buying Daniel Green slippers for years. This is probably my fourth pair. They are very pretty, soft and well made, if you can manage to put your feet in them. I’m a 6 1/2 and bought my size. This time I could not fit my foot in them. They were unbelievably tight to the point that they didn’t seem to have been made for human feet. Maybe for Barbie. After I put on a couple of thick socks, forced my feet in them and walked around the house , they loosened up a bit. But one should not go through that to wear new slippers! Something was really off with this pair. I gave four stars because they are beautiful and comfortable after you go through the effort of breaking them in.

Absolutely Perfect.
I'll never own another kind of slipper ever again. I just got these a few weeks ago and have worn them every day since. They are extremely comfortable. I'm a stay-at-home mom so I have them on practically all day. I love that they look so retro glamorous (I got the bright gold color). They don't make me feel like I look lazy the way fuzzy slippers do. I feel more dressed in these with my daily uniform of leggings. I was hesitant to buy them at first because of the wedge heel and the price. I can't stress enough how comfortable they actually are. The heel is very slight and I don't notice it at all. They are warm, but not too hot and don't make my feet sweaty. They run true to size. I am an 8.5 in nearly every shoe and the 8.5 here fit just right. These are definitely worth the money. I'll only buy these from now on.

Nice slippers but insoles are poorly made
I liked these slippers until the insoles wore down. Pros: they look great and they're comfortable. Cons: foot bed/ insoles are poorly made and not durable. The insoles are divided into two parts: the heel area is faux leather (not a problem) and the area under the toe is a mesh fabric over a thin layer of foam over a cardboard base (big problem). I know this because I pulled the insole out. The mesh fabric is absolutely awful, it wore down only after a couple of weeks of use. It would have been so much better if they could've made the whole insole faux leather (which is a reasonable expectation based on the product photo). Anyway, nice slippers while it lasted (not very long) but I would not buy these again- not recommended.

Not DG quality
First of all the fit is way off. I had read the reviews so I was prepared. I ordered 2 sizes up to get a good fit but still they were a bit tight. Quality control is not there. Orangey colored glue all on the inside of the slipper. I returned them easily and was sent a replacement pair. Same issue but a little less obvious. I kept them though. I wasn't sure I would be able to find them elsewhere.

Just what the Doctor ordered!
I developed tendinitis in my Achilles tendon. The Dr. took me out of flats and recommended I wear wedge heels even in the house. I searched all over and finally found these lovely house slippers. I am so pleased with my purchase. The shoes do run small, as noted in previous surveys, so I ordered a whole size larger. I could have gone up a size and a half but after wearing the slippers a few days the beautiful and soft leather does stretch a bit and they are very nice. (I usually wear a 9 and ordered a 10)

I found Daniel Green slippers were a very small sizing. I have a narrow foot and usually wear a size 36B or 36AA but these were much too small and I returned them to Amazon. I have not proceeded with a further purchase. Amazon’s delivery to me in Australia was excellent.

bought these for the hospital as post delivery slippers. i have a narrow slim foot and usually wear a size 7.5 - 8. i originally purchased the 8.5 wide as per the review comments that these run narrow and small. the 8.5 wide were ok in width (although still quite narrow - they are definitely not a WIDE slipper - they hugged my foot) but the 8.5 were a touch short - the back of my foot was too close to the back of the slipper pad. so i switched for the 9 wide and they fit PERFECTLY. definitely go up 1-1.5 sizes for these (no kidding) and go with the wide even if your feet are slim and narrow. the wide do not gape or look sloppy - they hug the foot properly without feeling tight (with or without a sock). it's a slipper after all!

Mauvais choix Pas confortable Les deux pantoufles ne sont pas pareilles
C**.
These are really lovely. Pretty, nicely made, comfortable, and fit perfectly. ( I usually wear a narrow fitting but ordered a medium width - a good choice as based on experience with another pair, this brand tends to run on the narrow side. ) I have two pairs now - and will be buying these again when needed. Definitely recommend.
