Do these shoes run small? Im a 10.5 usually.

I think true to size but felt it was a little narrow.

Are these comfortable for wearing all day or on paved trails?

I haven’t ever worn them all day, but they are fine on paved trails.

Does anyone use these as winter boots?

I'd suppose it would depend on how bad your winter is. Think of them like running shoe height - rather than boot height. I find them excellent for hiking in icy and wet conditions. But with the 18" of snow and rising here in Western Massachusetts today - they would not be ideal for shoveling, etc.

Has anyone had the original redmonds? how do they compare to these new models? fit? comfort? traction (and what surfaces)? originals were amazing

I have never tried the original shoe so cannot answer your question. I assume the traction would be similar since they are both hiking shoes.
