Strong enough for light weight leather and does not fray in sewing machine.
This thread will sew and keep together light leather products for everyday use. The Gutermann extra strong thread does not fray in my Singer fashion mate 252.

Upholstery thread
Good thread. Nice and sturdy. It's definitely for upholstery and not an intermediate weight thread for heavy garment fabric though.

Tough, tough, tough
I modify a decent amount of nylon/outdoor equipment, and this is by far my favorite thread for that role. Even the spool is sturdy. Getting it dialed in after using more conventional thread takes some work, but once it is, it works great.

Truly a very strong thread
I was looking for very strong thread to sew leather, canvas or thick fabric for Velcro and various purposes and a little skeptical that this product would work. I could not break it with my own hands, this is very strong and perfect for my needs. The reason it surprised me was because I went to a popular local fabric store and tried their strongest thread and was very disappointed when it broke very easily and had to resort to using braided fishing line to accomplish the task. Though the tensile strength of this thread is not known I am impressed with its strength and quality and am pleased with it.
