Great set of creamy vivid colors!
This is a good size set of 84 different colors. I swatched them as soon as I received my set. The colors are bright and vibrant. I made thick swatches to see how deep the vibrancy goes. I used a nylon water brush with water and a wet towelette to wipe the color. The colors cleaned up easily and left nothing on my fingers. Some colors really pop on the the paper. I used 140 lb cold press watercolor paper which has a distinct tooth I see as I lay down color. Trying to pick my favorite colors was difficult since I like just about all of them. I was impressed by the three metallic crayons. They really do look metallic. Bronze is particularly pretty. I believe that the colors we receive depends on when and where these are ordered. There are some sets that have a different color set, but the ones coming from Blick contain the following colors listed after my review. Blick also has loose stock for reordering. If they weren't so bulky to transport, these might easily have taken the place of my pencils. The tin is nice and sturdy, but heavy. I like the metal tray that holds the first plastic tray. The flimsy plastic tray is no good by itself. Overall, I am impressed by the quality and creaminess of the crayons. I do wish I could get all 126 colors. 001 White 002 Silver Gray 003 Light Gray 005 Gray 007 Dark Gray 008 Grayish Black 009 Black 010 Yellow 011 Pale Yellow 020 Golden Yellow 028 Toledo Brown 030 Orange 031 Orangish Yellow 033 Golden Ochre 035 Ochre 036 Raw Sienna 039 Olive Brown 041 Apricot 042 Flesh 045 Vandycke Brown 049 Raw Umber 050 Flame Red 051 Salmon 052 Saffron 055 Cinnamon 059 Brown 060 Vermilion 063 English Red 065 Russet 069 Burnt Sienna 070 Scarlet 071 Salmon Pink 080 Carmine 081 Pink 090 Purple 099 Aubergine 100 Purple Violet 110 Lilac 111 Mauve 120 Violet 130 Royal Blue 131 Periwinkle Blue 139 Indigo Blue 140 Ultramarine 141 Sky Blue 149 Night Blue 150 Sapphire Blue 159 Prussian Blue 160 Cobalt Blue 161 Light Blue 171 Turquoise Blue 180 Malachite Green 190 Greenish Blue 191 Turquoise Green 201 Veronese Green 210 Emerald Green 211 Jade Green 212 Chromium Oxide Green 220 Grass Green 225 Moss Green 229 Dark Green 230 Yellow Green 231 Lime Green 240 Lemon Yellow 245 Light Olive 249 Olive 250 Canary Yellow 260 Blue 280 Ruby Red 300 Fast Orange 403 Beige 407 Sepia 409 Charcoal Gray 497 Bronze 498 Metallic Silver 499 Gold 508 Payne’s Grey 521 Sahara Yellow 560 Light Cadmium Red 589 Crimson Alizarin 661 Light Cobalt Blue 710 Phthalocyanine Green 720 Bright Green 730 Chinese Green

Awesome Wet or Dry
I’ve been wanting the full set of these for years. They are my favorite medium to work with. They are very versatile, dry or wet. Great pigment and depth.

Product is great but delivery packaging needs to be improved
Five stars for the product! They are so much fun to use. They are very creamy and versatile and I look forward to having more of a play. I felt that this colour selection of 40 was rather lacking in the brown department, but I was able to go to my local art store and top up with some individual colours. The tin is nice and sturdy, and doesn’t take up too much room, so more portable than some of the other sizes. However Amazon gets 1 star for delivery. The package arrived in a brown paper bag, no padding at all. The crayons had all been thrown around within the box, forcing the tin to be distorted, and I was concerned about damage. The inside of the tin was a mess, but I was able to clean it up with a little elbow grease. The crayons all look ok, but I have concerns that there is hidden damage beneath the labels. I gave them a little wiggle and I don’t see any obvious problems so fingers crossed they are all fine. But if Amazon ever reads these reviews you need to do better. When someone spends this kind of money on a product a little padding would be a start!

Love Neocolor IIs!!!
Neocolor IIs are a game changer! I love that they blend into each other so easily and the colors in the starter set are perfect for the first time user of this medium. They're fun to use and have enhanced my coloring journey. The can go on the page smoothly or you can have distinct lines - either way the blending with water is a game changer and I love using them on backgrounds. I've shared some screenshots of my YouTube shorts where I showcased these beautiful products.

There is a learning curve
The colors are vibrant! I am in the learning phase of using these crayons. So far, I have not located a paper that will give me the desired result. I've watched many tutorials on You Tube, and they have been very helpful. Right now I'd say the product is very fine...but I may end up not enjoying using them. Time will tell.

Vibrant Colors & Easy to Use
I have gatherings in my home to share and do art. These work beautifully. Vibrant colors and easy to use for beginners. Especially people who are afraid of water color.

Wonderful product, subpar packaging
They are worth the price I’ve tried other dupes and nothing really compares to these in color saturation. My only complaint is that the tin is not very strong and mine arrived completely banged up from Amazon

Takes some practice :)
Came back to increase the rating as these have now become my favourite medium, better than gelatos even. I found that the best way is to use a wet brush to pick up colour from the tip of the crayon. I start with the lighter colour and then use a darker one and thus I get the desired hue. I can still apply different crayons directly on paper by using a light touch and the pass them over with a wet brush to mix. ------ I am rewriting my review to make it easier to read. I tested the crayons using a 300gsm watercolour paper. You can see the swatching in the enclosed photograph. Starting from the top left corner and going clockwise on each swatch you can see the colour mixed with white crayon, the colour mixed with water and the solid colour as it comes out of the tin. You will see there are plenty of shades of pink, some brown, several blue and only 2 greens (emerald and yellow green). I do not consider the khaki-coloured light olive a green and neither the cement-coloured olive. None of the provided hues are good for colouring botanicals. I tried to mix the basic colours to create green and you can see the results. Furthermore, there is no red-red - just a scarlet that looks orangey-red. I drew a flower on another piece of the watercolour paper. Used the darkest hues of pink/purple but the result ended up pale. Additionally, you will see the blue colour had lots of little bits in it. Moreover, the colours seeped through to the back of the page even though I did not use a lot of water, just the water brush to mix the colours. You can see this staining in one of the photos. I felt disappointed with this expensive product. Still, I tested it further. I used gesso on a mixed media page (250 gsm) and spread it evenly with a palette knife. The surface was smooth to the touch. I let it air dry and then I drew a mimosa flower taking colour from the tip of the crayons. I found mixing the colours to get the hue that would correspond to what I was seeing in the photo difficult and hard work. I also found that you can only lay on so much colour before it starts rejecting it. And you cannot apply white gel pen on top. I had to use some silver ink and some yellow ink to create the moss and the shiny parts of the flower/wood. For the blue background I just rubbed the crayons lightly and brushed them with water. I found they were laying on patchy but at least they showed less of the dark spots, probably because I was able to spread the colour much further due to it being laid on gesso. Overall, I am not happy with the colours included in this set of 30 crayons and their application over large surfaces. (I prefer using Faber Castell's Gelatos for background colouring as they are easier to use and what you see is what you get.). However, had I been able to walk into a store and test the colours out before purchasing individual crayons, it would have been a different story. The merchant (Dr Pen UK) and their supplier worked closely with me to resolve my problems. It is heartwarming to see how passionate they are about their product and it is catchy!. I have been using my Neocolors II consistently but in conjunction with other mediums like Dr PH Martin's inks, my watercolour markers and my promarkers. Once you realise their potential and limitations, it is plain sailing after that.
