Chipotle Powder 10oz

It is a tasty chipotle powder, with just the right amount of heat. However, because the description says 10 ounces and the jar is rather small, I was curious and weighed it. On my scale, it weighed about 9.6 ounces -- that included the plastic jar and big black jar lid -- in which case there would be no way that there is 10 ounces of spice. I would consider buying it again because the spice itself is good, but the discrepancy between what is described and what I got would likely make me pass on reordering. It is important to me to know how much spice is being sold because price per ounce is an important consideration to me when shopping.

Wonderful Product! This Chipotle Powder was a fantastic addition to my Rib Rub Recipe!In another Recipe, I was able to much more closely replicate the flavor of an Incredible Mac 'n Cheese dish I had at a Restaurant in West Texas. Delicious!!There must be countless applications for this Chipotle Powder in your Kitchen.Gross Weight of my Container was 11.7oz. Given the light weight of the Plastic, I'm certain that I received the FULL measure of deliciousness.No "insane burn" effect! Just a Smoky "Body Warmth" In use, apply the Powder sparingly to your recipes to achieve the flavor you'd like. Trust that your Recipes will be elevated!I deduct a Star because the Safety Seal under the lid was not completely sealed. This did not seem to compromise the Wonderful Aroma and Flavor of the Product in any way.I will surely buy this Chipotle Powder again. Recommended!

Adds a nice smokey and reasonable level of spice to any meat, beans, etc. Container lasts me about a year as I use 3-5 times a week.Add this and garlic powder to top of bacon in pan before you flip it over.Fantastic on Turkey skin, pork chops, ribs, steak, shrimp, not overpowering like chili powder.I dust the outside of tortilla wraps before pan warming, add to popcorn, pretzels, nuts, crackers, soft cheeses, bread with olive oil, crackers, very addictive and everyone asks "What is that?" in a good way.

This Chipotle Powder is the real deal. It is spicy, like jalapeno powder should be. I made a delicious pizza sauce with it, and most found it to be "too spicy". That's always a good sign for me, because I can always add less, but I enjoy the potency of this product. The flavor is smoky spicy deliciousness, and it is an essential in a lot of my cooking now. At $10, I would say it is a worthwhile product.

I have given up on grocery store spices. The price markup is insane and the spices are usually old and stale. Chipotle Powder is impossible to find at the grocery stores near me in the South,...so I thought I'd give Amazon a try.This is outstanding Chipotle Powder. I've been using it to make my Ancho Chile Lentils [...]and it is superb. Don't hesitate!**Note: There is quite a kick of heat to this!

Tasty stuff, lightly smoky, slightly hot, will buy again. Been putting it in lots of different stuff, from burgers, to chilli, to stuffed raw bellpeppers (half a green bellpepper, stuffed with half an avocado, some of this Chipotle powder with some salt, and a few slices of ham). Hasn't disappointed yet!

We have tried a number of different chipotle powders, from many places, including our local Mexican market, and this is the best. It is perfect for my Mexican dishes but I also use it for marinade, barbeque sauce, in rubs, and chili, even on our eggs in the morning. Delicious!

Almost out of this in my pantry and was just wondering where I purchased it when Amazon asked me to write a review! Well I'm glad to, especially now that I know where to re-buy this wonderful Chipotle spice. Wonderful product that I've happily used in many dishes. Spicy and delicious!
