My egg explodes every time if I don’t scramble it. What am I doing wrong?

Make sure you cook on Power 8; place it to the edge of the turn table (not in the middle); and reduce the time by about 5 seconds. With a 1200 watt microwave, usually about 50 seconds works. It will continue to cook afterwards if you let it sit for about a minute. Sometimes it’s the egg itself. Maybe because it’s older or something; it might explode. But in reducing the time, it doesn’t happen very often now. I hope this helps.

Can you do over medium eggs or are they all more like hard cooked?

Simply adjust the M/W power and timer to the way you want the egg. For instance, I use 90 percent power for 1 minute 5 seconds and the whites get cooked with semi-runny yolk. Obviously you don't get crispy edges like when you fry an egg.
