how wide is extra wide, is it the same as EE?

A EE is considered a wide width. 4E is extra wide.

Are these shoes tsa friendly? ie, will they set off the airport metal detector? do they have metal shanks for support?

TSA still made me take them off. But no problems in the ex-ray machine. But... I've been through a bunch of metal detectors in public buildings without the shoes setting them off.

Are these all leather?

The nubuck looks like leather, but in person right now, looking at the brown, it looks like a cheap pressed leather or pleather mix.

Are any Rockport shoes slip-resistant on slick, icy or oily surfaces?

I have worn Rockports for years. In my experience, the only thing slip-resistant on ice are ICE CLEATS that you can put on your shoes. This goes for all types of shoes.
