High quality, very nice spring loaded phone grip, good enough charging.
I recently bought a used Rav4 with a cd slot that I don't use. The car is old enough that there is no screen, so no worries about a phone obscuring anything important. The mount works well in the cd slot, especially with the little spacer* that forces the fingers in the slot to open wider. With the included lighter socket charger adapter, the wireless charger provides enough current to run navigation with the screen on and slowly charge the battery at the same time. I love the one touch spring loaded grip/release mechanism - easy to mount and dismount with one hand. *One small issue with the documentation. There is a small rectangular spacer (mentioned above) whose job it is to make the cd slot fingers open wider. This is not discussed at all on the instructions, and it is labeled as a "bracket," which it is not. By opening the fingers wider, the mount is more solid in wider slots, which I found useful, but only after figuring out that was the intent.

Near-flawless Operation with Samsung Galaxy
I purchased this recently as a replacement to an older CD-slot phone mount. I was really interested in the wireless charging feature on this phone mount, and after reading the reviews on both Wirecutter and Amazon, I ordered it without hesitation. The mount works exactly as described and I have zero issues with Bluetooth reception, mount sturdiness, etc. Wireless charging is decent, but not fast enough to actually charge the phone while using GPS. On a 3-4 hour drive, I used about 15% of the battery. Comparatively, a wired charger would fully charge the battery during the drive.

Great design, but not strong enough for heavy phones
This is an excellent mount which can hold even the largest phones. It's easy to use and the charging works well, even through a case with a couple credit cards in it. However if you have a heavy phone like the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, the clip that holds this mount to the vent just isn't strong enough. It will hold at first, but after a short time, the vibration of the car shakes it loose. To be fair, I'm not really sure that this problem can be solved with a vent-mount product. The S21 Ultra is just too heavy. That said, I was able to solve the problem using a zip tie to firmly secure the clip to the car vent. The rest of the mount works great and I didn't want to return it, so manually securing the vent clip made this an excellent mount in my car. Just beware that you may need to get creative.

CD Mount Style is #1 of Car Phone Mounts
I have to say this is the best mount style of all the options out there. I've had the dash/windshield style previously for 3 years, but overtime the heat has either made the suction cup release or even the black 3M sticky for the dash. I don't like the vent mount because it wobbles and I don't like the cup holder mount because mainly you're looking to far away from where you should be, not to mention it takes a cup holder. The CD mount is secure and is at the right line of sight. The only unfortunate thing is that it blocks my screen, which I really only mind the most when I need to use the back up camera. I just simply tilt it up or rotate to horizontal to get a full view when backing up. I previously had a wireless charger style and once again purchased the wireless charger option. This is very convenient to quickly put your phone on the mount and charge without hassling with the wire. The CD mount also conveniently puts the phone near the vents to cool if necessary. I also routed the charging cable with stickies to keep it organized.

Nice Holder But The Charger May Require Extra To Work.
Out of the box, the CD insert worked nicely and held my phone sturdily enough, the wedging mechanism feels much more secure than my last suction cup windshield holder (I didn't try the vent clip because my vents are just much too small). I really love the one touch mechanism, and so long as it doesn't fail I feel this is a big plus for this particular phone holder. Removing and resecuring the phone is a breeze and so much simpler than the last one I had. The biggest issue I had is that the included charging cord that connects to the lighter port just...didn't work. But it wasn't just busted, no, the charger that goes inside the lighter port was just too large/long it seems to get inside the port all the way and make the proper connections. Nowhere could I find that this wasn't a universal sized port so I imagine this could be a problem others might face--for reference I have a small hatchback sedan with a console lighter port. This also meant I would have probably had to return it because the replacement cord if sent would be the same size and more than likely also not work. I ended up having to buy a separate micro USB cord and use the lighter port usb plug I already own to get it working. Once I got the wireless charging working, it works decently. It's not a fast charger but it'll give your phone a little juice or keep the battery up while Bluetooth playing music to the radio. All things considered it's a decent little holder and I like the CD mount option and one-touch mechanism, but the included cords may be unreliable or just not fit and require a little extra spending to get the holder to a state where it charges.. which drops it down to a 3 star for me. Typically I wait longer to review electronics to see if they fail within a year, but for all intents and purposes I'd say this one kind of failed out of the box.

Plastic arm broke. Now unusable.
After just one month an arm broke! One of the arms on the side that hold your phone just snapped. The plastic broke. Now I can’t use it because it doesn’t hold my phone, and I’m just outside of the 30 day return window. Also, as a separate matter, the option to secure the device in the CD slot doesn’t work because it doesn’t go into the CD tray deep enough to hold. So I had to use the air vent holder option (while it worked)

"slightly" fast wireless charging, but still a car mount
I already liked iOttie regular mount that get inserted into the CD slot, so I bought this for the added wireless charging feature. Using it with the provided wired power adapter, it charges my Galaxy S21FE at 7.5w or 1,500mAh. Maybe newer Galaxy is capable of full 10w charging, I don't know. Since most recent phones batteries are 4000mA or higher, this translates to at least 2.5hrs to charge a full battery or 90%. Certainly it is slower than cable charging, but still acceptable for me with the convenience of being wireless. I bought the refurb of course, I wouldn't buy it for full price unless I know for certain it charges my phone at 10w.

Really nice motorized Qi charger and windshield mount
This charger is great. I really like the motorized charging base. It is easier for my wife to operate than the spring-loaded manual charging base I have in my car. It opens even after powering the car off. The wireless charger works well with my phone and my wife's phone. The suction mount from iOttie is the very best. It has a huge range of adjustment, and extends far enough from the pivot to mount to the very sloped windshield on my wife's car. The plug-in includes a USB port for charging a 2nd device, which is useful when we're all in the car together. The one downside of the motorized charging cradle is that you have to turn the car to power on the 12V outlet to get it to open so you can put your phone in the mount. It will still open once you reach your destination, so it's no problem to turn the car off before getting the phone out of the mount.

The wait seems to have been worth it, exactly as described
I researched a lot of car wireless charger chargers/holder before deciding to buy the iOttie Easy One Touch. Having it mounted on the now obsolete CD slot is ideal for me, it does not obstruct the front view and looks much better aesthetically. The only gripe I have is that the audio system's power button is slightly harder to reach, lesser so is the hazard switch. But the holder feels really sturdy and the wireless charging is seamless. It is easy to mount a large phone like the Samsung Note 10+, press the two protruding plastic arms on both sides to free the phone. The car charger plugs into the cigarette lighter, there is an extra USB slot on the charger to plug in a standard device. The product was shipped all the way from Kentucky in the US, so it did take some time to arrive, it certainly doesn't seem to have been in vain.

Absolutely the best cradle I've ever had
I recently upgraded my phone from a wired to a wireless charging one (a Google one at that) so I needed a wireless cradle for my car. This one seemed to fit the bill, plus I didn't see many (any) out there which supported the Google phones apart from this one, so it was a win-win already. The cost was more than I've ever paid for a cradle, but when it arrived I can honestly say that it's as though nothing has not been well thought out. The packaging was superb - 100%. I've only had this cradle for a couple of weeks, and so I know it's too early to be conclusive, but I felt I really needed to leave a review because a few of the one-star reviews did put me off, and I feel this needs correcting, as far as my own personal experience goes. It is in regards to the connection method. Having read the one-star reviews and put off by the possibility that the cradle wouldn't stay put when connected to a vent slat, I chose to use the CD-Holder instead. Whilst that worked perfectly, in my case the phone then blocked most of my navigation screen (which also is a rear view camera) and so I wasn't too happy about that. So I tried the vent holder (my previous cradles were vent holder types) and was again, blown away.... DO NOT BELIEVE all the one star reviews claiming the vent holder isn't secure. In my case, I cannot believe how SOLID the unit is when held using the vent holder. My advice is to make sure you push the vent-holder ALL THE WAY until it cannot go any more. And do that VERY, VERY SLOWLY because the vent holder tongs are extremely tight, and there's hardly any gap between, so do it very slowly so that you don't put too much sudden force onto your vent slat. As I say, I now have the very best cradle I've ever had, it holds my phone 100% and does not move or vibrate AT ALL during driving. My only complaint about the device is that the USB connector cannot go fully into the unit, it goes approximately 3/4s of the way in, so perhaps a bit of a manufacturing fault. Oh yes, and the charging light is a bit superfluous as you cannot see it when you have a phone on the stand and the phone obscures the light! Still, 10/10!
