Omg these really do work!
Over-priced at basically a dollar for each little pill but omg they actually do work! I am a sugar addict with intense cravings and when I dissolve one on my tongue, within about a minute my cravings are gone due to the taste it leaves behind. They start out minty and then when it’s about gone it leaves a sorta bitter taste behind. Very tolerable though. I use one before heading in the grocery store so I’m not tempted to buy sweets and also immediately when a craving hits. The taste it leaves behind is enough to remove the craving but not gross you out. I tried a bite of chocolate cake to see what would happen and I had to spit it out. It tasted like a sponge. You taste no sugar, just the texture of the food. I recommend ordering the 60 count bottle because 30 is only going to last you 10 days if you’re like me with a binge disorder. I’d think after the first month the cravings will naturally reduce and I can go down to one a day. Highly recommend!

Overpriced Breathmint
Tastes like a breath mint. Not sure how this lozenge helps.

Doesn't work!
This is just an extremely expensive mint! It's supposed to decrease sugar cravings and make sugary foods not taste sweet so you don't finish eating them. Well, I still craved sweets and at best maybe decreased sweetness 5-10%. Certainly not enough to discourage eating it like they claim. Waste of money for a nothing special mint. Luckily amazon is giving me a refund! don't bother with this.

Weird taste, possible placebo
I can’t tell if they’re working yet but I haven’t lost any long term cravings. Like It’s a momentary interruption of the sweet craving because it “neutralizes” any food you just ate. For me, it works best at night and I’m only taking it then, after dinner, when my desire for a dessert is more based on comfort than anything else. My husband keeps offering me dessert knowing I’m trying to lose weight and these lozenges help me say no because it would totally taste BLEH. They have kind of a faint mint flavor at first then it just tastes like you’re sucking on chalk or something. Indescribable taste and I wish they tasted better and not so bitter so I could still enjoy. I feel like after I lose the initial weight I’ll be more enthused but for now nothing is satisfying about this, but that mental change is what I need.

IT REALLY WORKS!!!
I can not believe this actually works. First of all, you have to really want the help that this product provides. It is NOT like an Altoid at all. Altoids are good. The taste of these are OK and you will really only want one when you are struggling with your sweet tooth. I had one before I drank Titos and Pink Lemonade...I COULD NOT FINISH THE DRINK until the effects of the lozenges went away which was about 15+ minutes. CRAZY!! IT REALLY WORKS!!

Not worth it!!!!
They do work but last about 20 to 30 minutes max or less and than you can taste everything. If you a sweet eater like me you would have to eat these like tic tats lol. They are expensive because they wont last having to take them so much. For ppl that eat sweets every so often you would be fine. I just cut down on my own.

Does what it says
Wow! These really do what they say with taking away any sweetness to what you eat afterwards. I admit sugar is my downfall and I was really curious on how these would work. The initial taste is like a Certs or Breathsaver mint but quickly diminished to like an Altoid then to an unpleasant bitter mint. I didn't let the whole tablet dissolve, it is very hard and was taking a long time. Since I was really just trying it out tge first thing I tried with it was a bit of hot cocoa, yuck, was flavorless milky water! Pepsi, could still smell it but it simply tasted like water. It also made some savory snacks less enjoyable also. I tried tortilla chips, while there was a hit on bland corn flavor at the end they were overall flavorless and unenjoyable. Chex mix, got some of the salty seasoning flavor but that was it, the cereal pieces tasted like nothing. Here is hoping these will help curb my snacking tendency .

Chocolate tasted like compacted flour!
I bought Sweet Defeat because I always crave sugar in the afternoons, and no amount of healthy alternatives has been able to deter me from reaching for a candy bar at 2 p.m. The first day of trying Sweet Defeat I tested a candy bar after letting the tablet dissolve on my tongue. I learned that you must move the tablet around your tongue while it dissolves for it to actually work to remove the sweet flavor of chocolate (if that’s what you are going for). I truly was worried to try chocolate even after the tablet had worn off because removing the sweet taste of chocolate left a candy bar that just tastes like flour and play doh. Not very appealing! The instructions say to take three times a day, one after every meal. I would go against these instructions and take the tablet before the period of the day when you are really craving something sweet! The tablet itself doesn’t taste that great, at first the minty flavor is pleasant but it quickly becomes unwanted. If you can move past the taste for the hope of removing your cravings, then this just might work for you! I took it every day as a sort of sugar replacement in the afternoon, and it did absolutely work! The following work week I mixed tic tacs in with the tablets, and it worked for quite a few weeks! Unfortunately you have to really want to stop eating sweets, and with hormonal changes in women sometimes this can be difficult since some of us crave sweets during different times of the month. Sweet Defeat did not work against these types of cravings! I will say this product is absolutely worth a try, it’s expensive but if you’ve tried other failed ideas to stop your cravings, then this might just be the one for you!
