Tattoo Machine Builder: The Bulldog Frame

An apprenticeship is STILL the best way to learn how to tattoo. However, if you're going to be self-taught, this is a good book to get.

Just received my copy today and I'm very happy with it. The information is very well presented and easy to understand. While the book does cover the use of a milling machine as the author says you could build the frame without it, it just makes the work easier. You will need a welded but the frame could be made in a way that bolts together. All in all I rate this book very high because I feel the information is laid out well enough that anyone that wants to build a frame can with some effort. Another thing that I'd mention is that just because the book is about a bulldog frame that doesn't mean you can't use the information to design and build your own, with the important locations laid out you could make other side plate designs, so don't disregard the book because it focuses on the bulldog frame design.

Very detailed about about the science n mechanics of building n operation of coil frame. Kinda outta date on frame building because of cnc machines. Good book for the price n easy to follow

I'm glad I bought this book.i build my own machines and it gives me a lot of info on measurements and tips and tricks to building my own.great book to have for the home hobbyist

Kind of basic in the hand tools and machining information. But good information and good read. Will use to modify my own plans.

It's Ok!

This book along with some very well respected builders will most certainly make my machines even better than they already are. A must have in the library of any builder.

Excellent info for frame manufacturing. Will only be useful to a handful due to the machine tools required.
