You can trust Salter to produce quality goods at affordable prices and for this item they continue to do so. For a quick one cup with no fuss it's perfect. Cleaning the filter is a dream. Once its emptied just rinse and no stain, no blockage. The reservoir is a bit tricky as the back fill near the lid hinge is best overcome by using a small jug but as I'm arthritic it may be a subjective thing. The travel mug keeps the drink at perfect temperature and a broad band prevents burning your fingers. Excellent results and all round winner.

Bought this a couple of years ago and have used it regulary ever since. Makes a decent sized mug of coffee in a matter of minutes not some little cup. Is really easy to clean, takes up little space, and the cup keeps the coffee warm for hours. I bought the non timer version as it was on offer but have paired it with a smart plug so you can get Alexa to turn it on on and off. Great to walk downstairs to the smell of fresh coffee. Only fault I can think it has which really isnt a problem it it doesnt havea a drip tray so if you don't let it brew out completely it will drip. Other than that would highly recommend great bit of kit for the price

This is truely brilliant i ahve not tried the timer function is straight forward to use. The quality vs price its a bargin and it actually make a decent tasting coffee unlike other that I have tried. It is nice and compact and i'm planning on having it set up at my desk but only down sides I found is there is a hole in the back (probably incase of over filling) and it is had to tell how much water you have already put in there. So far though apart from those two down sides seem rather durable and sturdy to use.

I used this coffee percolator for the first time today and was delighted with the coffee it took 4 minutes to make and was steaming hot, before I bought this machine i read many reviews about it & could not find a bad word said about it anywhere & now I know why it's perfect you can set the timer to switch on 5 minutes before you get up and have perfect hot coffee first thing ,I would recommend this wonderful product to coffee lovers everywhere.

I was shocked at how good the coffee tasted from this cheap little plasticky machine! I'm a big fan of filter coffee, but if I'm honest, I can't be bothered with the whole manual set up anymore.... goose neck kettles, correct pouring speed, timings etc. I bought a Nespresso machine to make life easier, but an Americano from it tastes like water, even if I added another espresso from a second pod, just nasty. It's fine with milk based coffees, but I missed a good filter coffee. I saw this machine advertised and the reviews on here were good, so I thought I'd give it a go. The first cup was nice, but there was a bit of sludge in the last mouth full from the cup. So I put in a Kalita Wave 155 paper filter in instead of the reusable filter and the sludge disappeared, that second cup was spot on. I had a great cup of coffee, so I've not used the reusable plastic filter that comes with it again. The capacity is great for one person, I've not tried making more than one cup, so no idea if it's ideal for 2. I've not used the travel cup that comes with it, so no idea if that's any good either. Looks wise, it fits in well with my black kitchen. It isn't the most sturdy of machines, but you can't expect it to be at the price point. I do agree with other reviewers that a drip tray would be ideal, but again, for the price and the taste, I'm more than happy with this machine and would highly recommend it to others.

The unit makes good coffee for one. The supplied cup is not great, today I noticed that it leaks water from between the plastic inner and metal outer...not a great taste! I would also add that the filter probably needs to be supplemented with a paper liner.

I have really enjoyed this product. Its a quiet machine, and really straightforward to load up with water and your grounded coffee beans. Switch on, start the brewing process, and you are all good. You can pop a mug in there instead, and so long as you switch it off mid process, can have brewed coffee in a cup as well. Found it great value for money and multi purpose. I am happy.

A simple and basic filter coffee machine. Reusable and easy to clean filter. You can have a large or smaller coffee - depending how much water you add. The included mug is durable enough for me and been used aplenty to date - 400+ml too. Taste will depend on the person and the ground coffee used. I much prefer the coffee from this machine over instant coffee. The temperature is absolutely fine for your average coffee drinker. Only downside if there is one, the part of the machine where you place the included cup, is designed for that cup so putting a taller mug there isn’t possible for example. Very happy with my purchase.

Arrived in perfect condition and well packaged well worth the price which was cheap enough for a one cup coffee maker like that it came with its own cup which has a lid for it so you can have coffee on the go also has its own coffee measuring spoon Definitely happy with my purchase love that you can preset it so your coffee is done and ready for when you get up

This Salter coffee maker came with a UK plug. 🙁Why is this item for sale in Australia??🤔 Had to send it back - don’t buy.

Sending an electric device to Australia with a UK electric plug is a complete waste of my money and time

So I got this as a single cup coffee machine for work. I've had it 3 days, I've made about 5 cups of coffee with it. It worked well for the first two cups - I followed the instructions, I used the supplied cup to fill water and then to make the brew into. The first two cups filled the supplied cup as you would expect, every cup since then has required me to run the machine 2/3 times to get the same fill even though there is water in the unit. Having to watch the machine and be there to turn it on again and again pretty much defeats the purpose of purchasing it. Cannot recommend - also, Salter were USELESS for customer care, I asked a basic question about unit operation and got back a request for a ton of irrelevant info (date & proof of purchase, proof of who I am etc) but no answer to my question.

The lid broke on y to the 4th day of using. Though the product has 12 months warranty Amazons return date has exceeded hence I am stuck with a defective product
