A Solution for Your Bath & Shower Storage Needs
I had never seen one of these before I moved in to my last apartment three years ago - what a perfect solution to a common problem. With roommates, especially, you can end up with a lot of products in the shower - multiple soaps, conditioners, body washes, salt scrubs, loofahs, razors, etc. I like that there isn't any installation required other than to put the tension rod in place so it is apartment-friendly. Reading reviews of all of the various options out there for these caddies I realize that there is a decent chance that this will end up rusting eventually, but I'm willing to pay to replace this from time to time for the convenience and amount of items it can hold. So far I've been using it for two months and I have no problems to report. When it came time to move into a new apartment there was no doubt that I would be purchasing a tension pole corner caddy for the bathroom. The entire thing was very easy to assemble; it was easy to place the baskets where I wanted them and with some help from my bf we were able to get the caddy in place within a couple of minutes. The tension in the bar is so strong that it would have been a little hard for me to get it in place on my own, though not impossible. Having a second person helps so one of you can stand back and let the other know when the placement is straight between the ceiling and tub (or floor).I much prefer this type of organizer in the shower to the type that hang over your shower head. By placing this in the back corner of the tub I don't have to reach through a stream of running water to get at what I need, and it holds a lot of stuff. My bar of soap doesn't get eroded by a constant stream of water washing over it every time someone showers, so the soap lasts longer. If you're considering getting this for your bathroom, I wouldn't hesitate. It does exactly what it's supposed to.

Easy to Install and Adds Needed Storage
Just moved into a new place and the shower has absolutely no shelves, so in spite of our great..put everything on the floor system...it was time for some shelves. I shopped around, a lot. Different websites, different stores, everything that wasn't around $100 had spotty reviews and I just wasn't willing to pay $100 for this, so I took a chance.I've owned corner shower shelves before. They all get grungy over time, they are all a little wobbly, they all go together the same way, so none of those are things I can fault this one on. I did not have to cut anything and never have (and I've moved over 20 times, so either I've been really lucky or am great at reading instructions, whichever). This one was no different, no cutting needed, just a lot of arm strength (as I kiss my womanly 40+-year-old non-existent biceps). I put it together in less than 20 minutes - this includes unboxing time, reading instructions, getting a stepstool, asking my husband to verify the shelves are where he would like them, cleaning up, taking pictures, and now - writing this review. The bronze color matches our other bronze items perfectly. I did have to install the final top pole while in the shower because the assembled poles were too long for me to get into the shower without removing the shower curtain rod (and who wants to do that all over again - not this girl). I needed the step-stool because I didn't put the cap (that covers the pole that the spring-loaded pole goes into) on all the way. This was probably the hardest part because the caps are rubbery and don't stay perfectly circular, so I did a lot of talking to the pole, convincing it that it did indeed want to live inside this hole for the rest of its life and it reluctantly agreed with me. Success! Now to clutter this baby up with more products than a person can possibly need.

It WILL fit!
A lot of the reviews here knock this caddy on two counts that I initially felt the same about: the difficulty of getting this thing to compress into a corner space and the wobbly shelves (and the rubber bungs that hold the shelves up). I went nuts trying to put this together and fitting it into the shower. Turns out that our shower was waaaay too short for it. It went in a bathroom with a tub, so the space to the ceiling was short (from the tub top to the ceiling). Whenever I tried to fit it in, the spring would shoot the top rod out and all the shelves would fly off. It was maddening. Turns out the space was too short. The rods are pretty thin metal, which here turned out to be good. I used a pipe cutter ($5 at the hardware store and you'll use it more than you'd think) to trim off about 5" of the top rod. Still a bit too short. Cut a bit more off and it was perfect. Having the spring maximally compressed (so it barely fit into the space) means there is no wobble: that sucker is in there tight - much better than the last caddy we had that rusted through. You could really cut this caddie down to fit into any space. The shelves, once you've got rod in place, are much easier to work with. The pics on Amazon even show the shelves off center, but you can really push the shelves down onto the rubber rings and they lock right on. Push the rod into the very corner and the sides of your shower help even out any slight angles and wobbles. Pulling up on a shelf undoes this however, so use common sense. These minor inconveniences are more an offset by the price and the shelves themselves. The 90 degree angle lets you pack shower crap on the shelves without worrying about things falling over or getting pushed to the back of the shelf: everything is accessible this way. And the shelves hild a lot more than you'd think. We have 7 bottles of shampoo/conditioner, 5 face washes, 4 body washes, 3 bars of soap, a loofah and one of the Axe 2-sided scrubber things with room to spare. It's MUCH more convenient than our last rack, which just had the normal open quarter-circle shelves. Add a few hooks to hang stuff off and you could really overload this thing!Bottom line: you get what you pay for, but if you're willing to put in a bit of effort, you'll probably really like this thing. I mean, I just spent 15 minutes writing a positive review for something I was sure I'd be returning until I decided to give it a shot!
