Gets the job done for cracking and picking crabs and lobster.

We were ordering in some hardshells and didn't have the tools, so this was more or less a last minute "emergency" purchase. There was some trepidation when we got the package as they didn't look that well made. But they worked great - especially the claw crackers and little meat removers. The wooden mallets were fine as well. Happy we found these!

We are using this for Dungeness crab. I took one star off because I feel that the metal crackers should be a bit more substantial if you are going to do heavier shelled food like lobster or king crab. They worked fine with Dungeness. For us we like having all the different tools. The fork works great for getting that meat out of the shell. The red plastic "zipper" works great on the larger shells. (And would work for peeling an orange) I like the hammer, my partner the Cracker so we both get the tool of our choice. I would order again because I liked the price point for the complete set. It is easy to take with us when we take the camper & boat crabbing or when we go to one of the local crab feeds.

Using these tools made eating crab a joy. I felt like I was in Baltimore eating crab.
