TP-Link LS1005G 5-Port Desktop/Wallmount Gigabit Ethernet Switch/Hub, Network Splitter, Plug and play, Plastic Case

I bought the TP-Link LS1005G 5-Port Gigabit Switch to expand the number of Ethernet ports in my home network, and it’s been working flawlessly. Setup couldn’t be easier, just plug it in and it works instantly. No configuration, no software, and no hassle. All five ports deliver full gigabit speeds. It handles multiple devices without any slowdowns. The unit is compact, lightweight, and silent since it’s fanless, making it perfect for a desk or entertainment center. Build quality feels solid for the price. Overall, this is an excellent value if you need a reliable, affordable Gigabit Ethernet switch. Highly recommended.

The switch worked straight out of the box with no setup needed. Stable gigabit connection and good performance for home or office use. Compact design and runs quietly. Great value and exactly as described.

Works fantastic and easy to setup. It takes up little room and is easily concealed. It has a nice design and all my connections work at high speed.

One of my switches decided to die and I had to get a replacement fast. Amazon offered same day delivery for this so it won my attention. Priced at only £15 at the time of purchase (OCT 2022) This was a no brainer purchase. Arrived and plugged in all my network cables and worked. Not sure on the durability of this as it is made from lightweight plastic and only one led indicator for each socket. So there is no indication if the plugged in cable is working at 10 100 or 1000 mbits... just a note for those that need quick visualisation confirmation of the speed. Small plug and cable (dedicated plug ) so could be an issue if the plug/psu fails. All in all I am happy with the purchase. Pros • Total Value for money • No configuration Needed • Light Weight • Very Compact Cons • Not suitable for desktop locating • LEDs Do Not indicate Speed • Dedicated PSU plug As a cheap alternative this switch is very good.. It is also a branded name so some re-assurance there for product support and reliability? I would purchase this again as an basic Switch as it does the job.

This network switch has been a great addition to my setup. Surprisingly, it was plug and play - it worked immediately—no app or advanced configuration was needed. I simply plugged in my devices, and it was up and running in just a couple of minutes. The design is modern, and the plastic feels sturdy, which suggests it is durable. In terms of performance, it doesn’t seem to affect my internet speed - even when multiple devices are connected. One thing to remember is that while it’s straightforward, it doesn't have some advanced features you might find in more expensive models, such as power management options. Although, it is silent as its fanless. However, for the price, it’s an effective, affordable choice for anyone needing a basic, reliable network switch. I would recommend it for mainly home users

I had to buy one of these as my Plume router only had two Ethernet ports. I plugged the splitter in, connected it to the router and then connected the extra Ethernet cables into the unit. Everything connected immediately. No issues. Highly recommended.

Amazing piece of kit at a great price! Easy to install/set up and now we have more devices hardwired from the modem. Very light weight, small and neat so it’s very discreet when installed and has extended the capacity to one that work for us.

Performs as expected - pleased

Inexpensive and works well.

I picked up the TP‑Link LiteWave 5‑Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch on sale for about $10, and even though I haven’t needed to use it yet, I decided to keep it because of how well‑built it feels. The unit looks professional and solid, with a sturdy metal exterior that doesn’t feel cheap at all. I haven’t plugged it into my home network long‑term, but from what I’ve seen and what many other users note, this switch does exactly what it’s supposed to do — expand wired network ports with reliable Gigabit speeds, without needing any configuration. It’s plug‑and‑play, so you can connect devices and expect consistent performance right away. Reviews from other buyers commonly highlight that: • It performs reliably as a basic unmanaged switch. • It stays cool and quiet even with multiple devices connected. • It’s perfect for adding extra Ethernet ports for consoles, PCs, routers, cameras, or smart home gear. For the price I paid (~$10), this is an excellent deal. You won’t get advanced features like managed switching, VLANs, or Power‑over‑Ethernet (PoE), but for a simple, dependable unmanaged switch, it’s exactly what most people need. TP‑Link has a solid reputation for networking gear, and this switch reflects that — it’s straightforward, efficient, and built to last without any fuss. If you’re just looking to add a few extra Ethernet ports without spending much, I’d recommend this as a no‑nonsense, good‑quality option.

Es fácil de implementar, tiene velocidades gigabit, para una casita o una oficinita está muy decente. Incluso para un cowork te puede ayudar.

Value for money
