These parts are pretty delicate and I tore a few when washing too hard. This replacement works perfect, good to have on hand as the pump has no suction once this membrane is even slightly damaged.

Fit

Exactly as described and necessary if you use a Medela pump. I'm always afraid of losing the membranes when washing and drying the pump parts, so it's great to have spares. I should have bought these months ago. They hold up very well. I only seem to need to replace when I lose one, not due to damage. Only con (it's a wish and easily remedied so I didn't deduct any stars) - I wish it came with a container for them, since they are small and easily misplaced. I put them in a ziploc bag, but it'd be nice to have something more substantial, like a little case.

I recently found out (oops!), after using the same pair of membranes for 9 months, pumping 3 times a day, that membranes should be replaced periodically. Medela says monthly. But, it really depends on how rough you are on them when you wash them, if you use a bottle brush on them at least once a day yes, I would say you probably will rip one before the month is out. However, I was putting soap on my pinky and being very gentle while washing. However, I had noticed over time that I was collecting less milk. I attributed this to me having a cold and my baby getting older. After replacing the membranes and trimming the ends of my tubing (where it connects to the pump) I didn't have to take the fenugreek and blessed thistle anymore to increase my supply. This product is exactly as described. It is the original replacement Medela membranes. I looked at the cheaper off-brand listed on Amazon but decided that I would probably get about 3 months out of a pair and one pack of these would last me until the end of my need to pump for this baby. They work as expected and were priced well. Thanks!

I did not realize how often I needed to change this part and once I did it was back to that powerful suction! I have a Medela pump so the replacement part was the perfect fit, it was easy to install and for the price there is multiple replacement sets in the package. Overall very happy with my purchase

Doing the bottle wash / sterilzation chore? Taking apart all the pump mechanism to give it a complete wash cuz the wife put it into the pile? Put it all back together and just realized the membrane broke and washed into the drain and getting the dagger stare from the Mrs? Dont fret 6 membranes are on the way to get Mom pumping out that oh so goodness for Baby. Seriously the madela pump wont pump without this little membrane - also put it in a safe place where you can remember.. I'm sure i'll need it soon enough again...
