BEST GUN IN THE WORLD!!!!!
So, I got this nerf gun for christmas, and it's pretty good. a little modifications are required. Just kidding! This is the best nerf gun ever!!!!! I've been shooting my dad with it, and he's lost a couple of wars because I had the raider. Also he's won one or two battles with the raider. I like the extendable stock because it's really comfortable. If you have a fast arm then it could be faster than the vulcan! (I dont have the vulcan I tried it at my friends house) This gun is great for wars, especially with its rapid fire action. get two of these so you can have a raider war with your friends! I haven't modded it yet, probably because my recon broke when I tried to open it. so i'm too afraid to even unscrew two bolts. either way, the raider doesn't need much modding because it's the best nerf gun ever! nice things: -If you hold the trigger and keep cocking it, it will shoot immediately every time you push the handle foward. -in the bottom of the back handle there's a space to put an extra dart in. -the drum can be replaced with a recon/longshot clip if you run out of ammo. needs improvement: -Darts get lost easily So, there are three extra features, and One bad feature. Yeah, I recommend you buy this nerf gun as soon as you get the money (Or right now)Now I have one more thing to say; Raider rocks!

A thirteen year old's review
It was the day after my birthday, and i decided to squander a bit of money on a present to myself. I have had great luck with the nerf maverick, and i decided to buy a new gun, one of the cool new ones. I was going to buy the vulcan, but overly pessimistic customer reviews put me off and i bought this instead. let me tell you now, this is THE BEST NERF GUN YET. Below are listed my pros and cons, but the pros far outweigh the cons. PROS: Dart capacity(you can keep shooting for a really long time before reloading) Weight Dual fire modes really fast "auto" mode entirely person-powered easy to fix jams long range(sometimes) CONS: Long reload time wide dispersal(can be good or bad, but takes forever to find all the darts you thought you shot in a straight line) Large drum takes up space YOU SHOULD BUY IT!!!

Did not live up to the hype
I purchased this Nerf rifle for my son for Christmas. We had great expectations. Right off the bat it would only shoot every 3rd dart to more than 5 feet. Then after a while it jammed on every round and was tearing up all the darts. I had to send it back. Our service was great but I will not buy this rifle again or would I recommend buying this rifle!!!!

Raider CS-35 - Excellent if range isn't an issue.
The NERF Raider CS-35 is an excellent blaster for someone to start getting into NERF, especially if you go for the 70-dart bonus pack that is sold here for only a couple extra dollars than this. With 70 darts total, you won't have to worry as much about losing darts, and the CS-35 drum clip is compatible with many other NERF blasters like the Recon and Longshot. The Raider has one major main feature, the slam-fire semi-auto. This allows you to quickly fire darts at a much higher rate than most other spring-powered blasters, by simply holding down the trigger and sliding the priming handle back and forth. The only blasters I can think of that can shoot faster than this are the Chainblazer, a much older NERF blaster, the Rapid Fire 20 and the Magstrike, which both are air-powered. However, the Raider sacrifices range for its rapid firing ability. With its reverse plunger system, it cannot shoot as far as direct plunger blasters such as the Longshot CS-6 or even a Nite Finder EX-3. This is also why the Longstrike has much less range than a Longshot. If you modify or play competitively, this is a consideration you will have to take into account. This is a great blaster all in all, just wish it wasn't reverse plunger.

Very disappointed.
This was our families first Nerf gun purchase, primarily for my son (but hey, whose kidding, it's something dad was looking forward to too). I must have purchased a defective one, or it isn't built to withstand the physics required to operate the thing. I'll give another model a shot (pun intended).

Review for awesome Nerf gun!!!!!!
To start off I purchased this Nerf gun with a gift card to Amazon. I read quite a few reviews on I thought it looked great. I was a little puzzled at first by the "slam-fire" mode, but upon receiving the Nerf gun in the mail I realized you use the slam fire mode by holding down the trigger and pushing the cocking handle back and forth rapidly. I would not recommend it however for kids under the age of six, for the large magzine makes it very unbalanced on left side, but taking that clip out and putting in one of the smaller six shot clips would make it much better for younger child. I highly recommend this to anybody looking to purchase a Nerf gun!

A pump action nerf gun with a huge clip
What more needs to be said, if you need to shoot something 35 times with a foam rubber dart, you need this. Seriously, buy this now, it's ridiculous how awesome this is. The typical pluses as well, it's a N-Strike so all of the other clips/darts work as well as any rail accessories or stocks. It's not for the littlest of tykes, but it's good for the big kid in all of us.
