Emeraid Intensive Care Carnivore 100g

This has been an absolute lifesaver for my ferret during recovery. It mixes into a smooth consistency, is easy to syringe feed, and has helped him maintain his weight when he wasn't able to eat normally. The resealable pouch keeps it fresh, and a little goes a long way. Highly recommend if your vet suggests it.

This is my second order of this stuff due to having a poorly gecko, helped him put weight back on and eventually get an appetite back, i think I'll always have some of this on hand just in case it happens again. Can be used with all reptiles and even cats.

This is great stuff for poorly ferrets. It's quite lumpy when you open the pack but it does mix well. Quite expensive for the size of the pack, but it's the same price everywhere and a little bit does go a long way with small animals. My poorly ferret who had lost weight soon perked up and put weight back on after a few days on this. I mixed with a little egg and then a little of his meat and he was soon back on his normal food again

I buy this for ferrets, it’s brilliant they love it, it must taste nice because they have never turned there nose up, totally value for money, really happy

When I received it the packaging was damaged at the back and the contents were not a powder as they should be so moisture must have got in. I was waiting for it all day too for a poorly animal. Will have to order another now and hope it comes quickly.

Quick delivery and quality product

TLDR; fine as supplemental to normal feed, but if syringe feeding spend a little bit more on Oxbow Critical Care. Does the job effectively for weight gain in sick ferrets - however as others have noted it clumps in the bag and produces a thicker and grainier mix for the equivalent dose than the only slightly more expensive Oxbow Critical Care. Not an issue if this is supplemental and the animal is eating independently but it means about double the volume for an easy to swallow mix and it breaks plastic syringes.

I had a very poorly ferret with adrenal problems. He had an adrenalin implant but his weight dropped down to 0.74kg from 1.5kg. I started giving him emeraid and he has put good weight back on (back at vets Friday to be checked and weighed) and he absolutely loves it. So does his friend so I have to give him some as well! Highly recommend!!!
