8" Hand Impulse Sealer Heat Seal Machine Poly Sealing Plastic Bag Element Kit with Adjustable Timer

Had this thing for a couple weeks and used it a half dozen times and so far so good. It's the cheapest sealer I could find but it seems like's its built like a horse. It's solid metal and quite heavy. I'm using it to reseal previously heat sealed product bags. The plastic on these bags is fairly thick (thicker than a freezer bag) and I have this set on about half power...any more and it'll melt it completely through. It takes about 2 seconds to seal. The directions are in horribly translated English, probably from Chinese. Basically, this is how it works: There's no power switch - Plugged it = On. (I suggest unplugging when not in use) Turn the knob to the appropriate power (do some test runs prior to using on a finished product) Close the arm down and upon contact the light will kick on and the sealer will automatically turn on and engage. It will run for set time, based on the power setting, then automatically kick off. I guess eventually the contact paper and arms on the bottom portion of the machine can eventually get worn down. It comes with 1 or 2 replacements, but not sure where to get them after that. It works perfect and I can't imagine needing any more features for such a simple device. 5 stars until I run in to a major problem.

I had one of these impulse sealers for at least 25 years until it finally stopped sealing. I bought it used for $30.00 from a store that was going out of business back then. This was a great price for a new one. I like to buy bulk candy and repackage them into party favors with the heat sealer. I also like to shrink wrap my handmade greeting cards. I need the sealer to seal the opening of the sleeve so I could I could shrink it. It gives my packaging a professional look. I cannot do without this handy sealer. A great product.

Bought this last year, so I have been using it for a long time sealing daily vitamin packs in small cello bags, sealing gift bags with treats, and small gift items with colored tissue paper, resealing chip bags, etc.. It does what is expected and for the price is great. However, the sealer can get dust on it and then begin to melt the cello - a sign that the silicon (?) piece on the bottom needs to be replaced. What I have found is that, if I put a piece of parchment over the bottom sealer, it works beautifully and I don't have to keep replacing the bottom piece. I would buy this product again.

Trying to establish my branded name of Indulge Gourmet Catering throughout the Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland areas, I needed to start small with some tasty goods but needed an affordable way to distribute my goods without the need to buy plexiglass display cases to start getting my products out there in other business establishments. This seal machine turned out to be a great way to keep my products sanitized, easy to handle, and be displayed on a shelf without having to worry about expensive display cases. This seal machine seals really well, but to ensure a good and lasting seal just in case, I sealed my cellophane bags twice creating two separate but very close seals. I am now able to launch my branded name by getting my name on these smaller items as starters and to just get my name distributed. I am able to create gourmet snacks and other goods with my Indulge Gourmet Catering logo on my products because of the seal machine! Great item if you are starting a business and want to get your brand and product into the public domain!

I LOVE IT!! This is the Heat Sealer I have been waiting for, for a long time! I have tried others, but now that I have this one, I will never buy anything else! Good size for general sealing, Adjustable heat settings for various bag thicknesses. This Will seal mylar, as long as the heat setting isnt too high. . . . With this heat sealer, I can even seal the cheap thin sandwich bags- but I need to lower the temp setting to about "1". Works perfectly! Even came with replacement heat seal wire. . . which I doubt I will ever use, as these will last a long time, as long as you keep the heat setting to as low as possible setting, Would (and already have) refer this item to others!

Photo looks just like a name-brand heal seal machine. This is a cheaply made imitation. Instructions were in English, but with grammar that had been translated from a foreign language. The sealer did not perform the same way as the name-brand sealers I use. I need to be able to seal the bag shut and tear the bag away to make another pack, and was unable to tear the poly bag with this sealer. Most concerning to me, however, was the lightweight, two-prong electrical cord and plug. My hairdryer has more substantial cord and a three-prong plug. I was very pleased with the customer service I received from 24/7 Value. Very prompt and polite responses to my requests for returns and a full refund. I would like to purchase something else from them in the future.

IF you're in the market for a sealer, look no further! It seals everything. I have a variety of uses for it, but I have to say my favorite is resealing chip bags! Stale chips are terrible! I'm not a huge lover of snack foods so a bag of chips can stay in my cupboard for a few weeks. Needless to say, after that time goes by they aren't so good anymore. This certainly solved that problem! I've never seen anyone else with one, but if you're in the market, I would absolutely recommend this. It's fast, convenient and works perfectly as it should.

Things I really like about this sealer: 1) Doesn't take any time to warm up; just plug it in, align bag and press the arm down. 2) Makes a nice, tight seal. I had to practice a couple of times on different weights of bags, but once I got the hang of it, I feel very comfortable using it. 3) Surprising sturdy and stable, given the price. 4) One bonus that I discovered: I can make custom small bags out of gallon and quart ziplock bags (I've a cat that enjoys chewing corners off bags ... grrr. With this sealer I salvage them.). Also, try making your own pastry bags in different sizes! Fun! All in all, perfect for me, as advertised, and shipped/arrived in good time. Recommend!
