Fosi Audio TP-02 Subwoofer Amplifier and Dayton BST-1 Bass Shaker
This amp was purchased to power a Dayton BST-1 Bass shaker. It does it with out a sweat. It is used on a sim racing cockpit under the pedals. It never goes over half as the rig would just vibrate to much. Perfect when using Simvibe software on PC, clean sound and very powerful. I have just got another to go under the seat, so two amps, 2 Dayton 50watt BST-1 bass shakers. Perfect combination. Would easily recommend for Bass shakers. Cannot verify for music as not tested, used for that.

Great little amp!!!
Great little amplifier.... Have a old KEF subwoofer and amp had started failing. Having read about others using these Fosi amps to power subwoofers I decided to go down the same route. Made a blanking panel to cover where the KEF amp was mounted and now the subwoofer lives on!!! This amplifier is nice and compact, easy to use and easy to set up...

Very good quality product
The seller was helpful when asked questions. The only problem is that the seller does not have any dedicated user manual for this subwoofer amplifier. If they provide one with some technical guidance on how to set the volume level when installing will be very helpful for non-technical clients. A graduated volume knob will also be useful for setting up. Apart from this, the product performed very well and delivered an excellent sub bass sound after trial and error adjustments on listening subwoofer output together with the other surround sound speakers. Another good point is that the power supply can take the whole 120V to 230V range, 50 or 60Hz, and comes with a moulded UK plug. Recommended for use with upgrading passive subwoofers with the latest AV receivers that have only sub woofer pre-out and one does not want to do away with a good existing passive subwoofer. Recommended.

Surpasses and Expectations
This is the second one of these little Amps I have bought. The first one was to run four base shakers in my cinema room seats. It did this perfectly on a low setting too. My main £500 subwoofer amp stopped working a couple of weeks ago and had to go off for repair. With the Christmas period coming up I didn't want to have a none working system, so a bought one of theses again as a temporary measure... Running two 12 inch subwoofer seems easy for it, the system is now putting out bass that I can't tell any difference between this little amp and my big £500 amp. It's not even stretched, it's on about 25% volume. If I knew what these little guys are capable of I would have never have invested in the expensive one. A very impressive little amp for the money.

Nicely revives a malfunctioning Edge 10" EDB10A speaker
I somehow blew the amp of my van's Edge 10" EDBA active subwoofer. Despite optimistically swapping out some capacitors it was beyond my skill to repair. It seemed a shame to throw out the whole unit, so snipped out the speaker wires from the amp circuitry and threw the circuitry away. This Fosi TP-02 subwoofer amp drives the "now passive" (4 ohm?) Edge 10" speaker nicely. The Edge speaker wires connect to the two passive sub output posts on the back of the fosi amp. I now have it installed on a home sound system. I have the volume only a "third to half" of the way up and it is more than enough thrumping bass for a 5m by 5m room using the supplied power supply... any more on the dial is overpowering despite the the amp's power (200W "max" or 150W rms at 4ohm according to manual) being much lower than the speaker unit's original active rating (250W rms)... most use cases will not need to drive the speaker at anywhere approaching its maximum capability. Unlike another reviewer, the unit I was supplied with has the two dials, one for volume and one for subwoofer frequency as shown in the product description. To my ears, feet, and chest, the amp provides the warm tones and thumping bass I'm seeking and the frequency dial is to me vital in amplifying the frequencies I want depending on the music I'm listening to. I'm no audio expert so take this all with a pinch of salt. Well pleased with the amp and salvage of a piece of kit otherwise destined for landfill.

A tiny little problem-solver
This isn't really "220W" as delivered - the power supply it comes with is 24V, 4.5A, which is just 108W. It relies on the onboard capacitors to hit peaks of 220W, but only instantaneously. Fortunately: there is no need for a bigger PSU than this. I've used it to replace the dead 300W plate amp on a Mordaunt-Short sub, and playing infrasonic noise via MyNoise, the sub starts to produce port noise before the volume dial is maxed. So, it outperforms a pretty big box with a 10-inch driver, despite being around as big as a pocket-sized dictionary. So much less hassle than recapping dead amps from the capacitor plague era. Wiring it up is easy, the controls are foolproof, and the low-pass seems to be at the end of the audio chain so very little noise gets through even if you have it connected to something dirty like the onboard audio of a PC. Also: the manual states it'll apparently work with a 24V 10A PSU, so if you REALLY wanted, this could actually kick out even more sustained power, more than I'd imagine could be necessary for home theatre sub use - but it'd bring it up to spec to suit that 300W Dayton Audio bass exciter, if you're a sim weirdo. Attached are some photos of the internals - it's insane to me that it can do so much with so little.

Great little amp for a passive sub
Excellent little device for home theatre. My active LFE sub was overheating so I junked the built in amp and wired this in its place. It sits externally to the cabinet. Got it plugged in to an RF socket to turn it on/off as there is no signal sensor for auto switching. Sound is every bit as good as the original product and it seems to coast along at half power - the switch mode power supply provided hardly gets warm. Very pleased.

For such a small amp, it sure packs a big punch! I have an 8 speaker setup in my backyard, but the bass was lacking due to all the speakers being outside. I then bought a 300 watt outdoor subwoofer on Amazon, but I still needed an amp to drive it. In my search I came across this little Fosi amp. I figured if it wasn’t good enough, I’d use it to drive one of my indoor 150 watt subwoofers whose amp no longer worked. Needless to say I was quite impressed with the power output. So impressed, that I bought a second Fosi to drive my broken indoor sub. Now both of my subs are working great and sounding good. And compared to the $350 price tag to buy a replacement plate amp for my box sub, this was well worth the savings. The only caveat is that there is no auto-on feature like most box subs have. I have to manually switch the unit on & off every time I use it. But for the savings, it’s a small price to pay. Maybe in the future, Fosi could add this feature to their power switch: offer an on, off and auto mode. That would make this little but powerful amp perfect.

Ok i have now had my unit for almost 3 years powering a buttkicker mini in my sim rig and i really cant put it over a third as it rattles the whole rig with zero problems have a m04 too and that doesnt even compare probably getting another of these to replace the m04 highly recomended although i would not really get it for anything that needs more than 100w rms @ 4ohm i havent tried it with 2 ohm but it would raise distortion and wont get more than 108w from the power supply anyways so yeah 100w 4 ohm load perfect
