Aircast Air-Stirrup Ankle Support Brace

I need to have good support for my ankle and am so glad I found this one!It is so easy to use and wear all day, being sturdy and flexible both. I just walknaturally, and it holds my ankle in line, flexes when taking a step and erases thepain. Easy to put on, easy to tighten or loosen as needed. And yes, it can be wornwearing a shoe.

I fracture my ankle. My doctor wanted me to sleep in an ortho boot but it was too uncomfortable. But I also couldn't sleep without some kind of brace due to pain in my ankle. This brace is much more comfortable to sleep in or even just wear around the house to take a break from my ortho boot. I love it because it's more comfortable than my boot. However, I also get frustrated with the brace. The position can easily shift forward or backward causing the plastic to painfully press on the sides of my ankles. The comfort is also very dependent on how the straps are positioned and tightened. Sometimes it feels great with good position, and good stability of the position. Other times it's very painful or it shifts around too easily into painful positions. I spend a lot of time unstrapping and restrapping to try to get it in an optimal position - not too loose, not too tight, perfectly positioned fore and aft.

There's a reason the Aircast has been a staple in orthopedic practices forever. It just works better than anything else out there for an ankle on the mend. I'm just recovering from a bad class 2/3 Spain and tried a few different support modalities while in recovery. The Aircast has the best combination of comfort and support. And yes, it will fit in mist shoes. I've worn it in boots, as well as my dress shoes for work. My only complaint is that they don't make this model in black, so it's not very sexy. But don't let that stop you from buying it. If you need ankle support post injury, get it.

I used this ankle brace when I fractured my left ankle. It is very sturdy yet not bulky. I could sleep in it, use it during the day for walking. It fit into my shoe nicely. My ankle healed quickly I think due in part to wearing this brace daily and nightly.

Worked well, has nice cushion that many do not have that was comfortable. Was able to wear my shoes(sometimes took a little longer getting them on) I am giving one star because almost 33 days after purchasing it, the strap broke.What seems to be holding the straps together is glue, instead to stitched together which would last much longer. I have another similar ankle brace that I had for over 7 years, only reason I was replacing was due to wear/tear/dirty. So no excuse for 33 days.

I have broken my fibula at my right (dominant) foot a couple days ago and the doc says I have much soft tissue damage as well. Thanks to Dan's review I ordered it yesterday with prime overnight shipping. This evening it came in around 5PM and I can walk again without hardly any pain! I was provided an aircast boot which is pretty good but goes up to my knew and is large and bulky. No way that would allow my pants to go over it I also received a bledsoe wraptor speed XXL which is awesome but this large sized aircast air stirrup is way easier to put on and it is the most comfy and fully supportive of my injury. I will be able to drive my manual trans vehicle now and get back to work and it will fit under the cuff of my dress slacks. Thank you Aircast and Amazonm, the air cast air stirrup really made my day. :)

This was recommended to me by my physio following rolling my ankle causing a hairline fracture and a particularly bad sprain.As part of my job I go over fields and uneven terrain.I needed to get back to work before it was fully healed so I've used this for stabilisation. It still allows the forward and backward flexing of my foot, but prevents the sideways rolling I'm now prone to until my ankle is fully healed.It's also adjustable to suit different widths of feet and the air pockets are also adjustable, allowing air to the increased or deceased.I've worn this with trainers for gym work and boots for work with no issues.

Das Band, dass unter den Fuß kommt, hielt nach 2 Tagen bereits nicht mehr und rutschte vom Klett. Support beim Verkäufer leider sehr träge und nicht hilfreich.

Very good, go for it if you have any pain around ankle. Sports person can also buy it for additional protection.
