This is one of the only kind of it's type. There are so few LED readout thermometers that show up. If you buy it for using a sensor, you'll want to get a much bigger, stainless steel cable/sensor ..., screw on wire leads. Most of all, this thing defies the odds on being accurate, but with a 18-22 inch wire with a larger, stainless steel sensor, it can be put further away from the thermometer housing.

Great little sensor. You may need to insulate the probe and threads if installing in metal duct. Wire heat shrink works well for this. Works great to help me make sure my diesel heater isn’t cooking my duct fans.

This temperature meter works exactly like expected - plug it in and it turns on. The display is easy to read, especially in indoor or shaded areas, but may not be bright enough for reading in direct sunlight. The long probe cable allows the meter to be mounted away from the temperature source, which is definitely handy. It does operate over the full voltage range specified, which keeps it flexible for various applications. The one thing I did note was that there seemed to be some amount of self-heating at the upper end of the voltage range that caused an offset of several degrees. Because of that, i would recommend using a voltage in the lower part of the range if possible. Overall, solid device, especially if precision temperature measurements aren't required.

Absolutely a game changer for monitoring a wood stove flu temperature. I have a big wood stove add-on that blows hot air into my cabin. I have always used a magnetic thermometer, which I now know is a big mistake. This little digital thermocouple is way more accurate, my flu temp was 450° F when the magnetic thermometer was just hitting 300° F. It very accurately shows the flu temperature response to the slightest change in the flu damper and air intake. When the fan blower came on it correctly showed the flue temperature dropping. And best of all I can now monitor the flu temperature from inside my cabin.

First, I do not really leave any reviews but I was compelled to do so here. I need a device to be accurate. After reading some of the reviews and testing this device in a real world industrial environment. They either got a bad device or what they tested it against was faulty. I'm sold on this little critter. The proof is in the pudding as they say. I tested it along side a Honeywell 3500 and against a heat up company's device. I let it go for days without a single issue. If you need accurate this one is it. I hope my review helps you all.

This thermometer is a great value. It is easy to read, and is pretty accurate, coming in pretty close to my SHT3X running off my Arduino Nano. There are no instruction that come with it, but it doesn't need any either. It is really simple to operate and the sepc are right there on the side on the unit. Seems pretty tough, the plastic is strong and clips into place firmly. I think it will work perfect for my amp rack.

I had high hopes, with a bright LED display and mostly positive revues, but this thermometer won't work for more than 5- 10 minutes max, then gives me a flashing null display. I started using it with a 3 V. battery power, then onto 6,9 and 12 V DC as well, with similar results. Too bad as the display was very readable from a distance, but it just doesn't work.

Very good temperature meter and probe. Accurate and stable readings. Great price. Easy to connect and use.
