Why did you pick this product vs others?:Btt is kinda trash (used plenty of there products in my builds) pi just works, well documented, vast amounts of helpful knowledge online, etc. Ease of installation:Easy as can be a few screws and an imaged sd card and youre good to get started. This isn't a bad deal tbh. At least as of 07/2025 pi shop and everyone else are selling these after tax for about 75 for a 4gb. So its roughly the same price. Wish they carried the 8gb modle here.

I plugged in the Raspberry Pi 4 (4GB) and my toaster started asking it for tech support. This tiny beast runs smoother than my full-sized desktop and uses less power than my phone charger. I set it up to stream 4K, run retro games, and control my lights—now it thinks it’s king of the house. Honestly, if it starts making coffee, I’m retiring.

The media could not be loaded. It's a cheap way to have a small computer. I use it to connect to my Victron 150/45 solar controller and view solar output on 13" monitor which is connected via wireless HDMI transceiver/receiver. The monitor is at one end of my RV while the solar stuff including the PI is at the other end. I loaded the Venus OS which actually took me a couple of days to understand and install. I watched a lot of YT videos. The wireless TX and RX can be found on Amazon for 20.00. I also made my own VE direct cable, more YT videos. All said and done I saved a few hundred dollars not having to pay for expensive Cerbo GX, but put in a lot of time which I have plenty of at age 66. Update July 17th 2025 a year later: Everything still works perfect as the day I set it all up. No problems. I use Alexa to turn on and off everything automatically, on in the morning at sunrise and off at sunset. I set up a "routine" where Alexa will turn on the Monitor, PI and HDMI Transmitter all at the same time. I put all three items into a group which I called SOLAR. So although Alexa handles the daily turning on and off automatically I can still manually control all three devices by saying Alexa turn off or on Solar. It's just so simple. So to be clear the PI 4 still works perfect a year later and it is used everyday.
