Does it displace water? Or would you use the same amount of water in the bath with or without it?

This bath shortener is hollow on the inside and has openings in various places, so you'd use pretty much the same amount of water. I like to fill up the bath tub completely, let the water drain into the shortener's largest opening and then flip it over, so the largest opening is at the bottom - and then use the suction cups to attach it to the foot end of the tub. This way, if the shortener is fully filled with water, it's unlikely to move / float.
