Thick, durable, sturdy, what more could you want?
I've been setting up my home office space during the Pandemic, and one of the only parts missing was a nice chair mat so I don't have to struggle / destroy the carpet with my chair. I tried shopping around locally at places like Staples or Office Depot, but they carry very little in store, and advised me to go online to check out their full selection- I guess they just take up too much floor space? (Hah). I shopped around a bit online to see what type I should get, what I should avoid, etc. My carpet is right on the edge of being a medium pile, so I shopped around for appropriate mats (which this is). A LOT of people seem to complain about their chair mats being too flimsy and not being study enough: that they would curl on the edges when you get on them and they'd eventually crack. You don't have to worry about any of that with this mat. It's THICC! I ordered two, and they arrive flat in a large, yet very thin shipping box. In my case, the box they came in wasn't really assembled... normally you buy a flat box and put it together so it's a cube. My box never made it to the cube stage- the whole thing was just held together by several long strips of tape that held the edges closed so the mat didn't just fall right out. This type of shipping does have an advantage though: you don't have to worry about your mat showing up warped and curled from being rolled up for who knows how long. These come flat, and they stay flat. I cut open one of the strips of tape and lifted the mat out. It was very sturdy, and it was kind of hard carrying this thing up the steps because all that plastic can get heavy- especially when one side is trying to stab you. I put it on my floor, and it just flopped into place. Rolled my chair right in the middle, and sat down (6"3', about 200lbs). The edges didn't move at all. Even if I roll up onto the "lip", which I have to in order to sit properly at my desk, there are no issues with anything lifting up off the carpet or curling. I also don't think there will be any issues with cracking, but I'll keep this updated. There is one issue though: now I have to get used to having a chair mat down. More than once, I've sent myself flying across the room because I haven't gotten used to the fact that I'm on plastic now, and my chair can roll MUCH EASIER than I'm used to when it was on the carpet. I'll put that down to user error though.

Great, sturdy carpet mat.
Great carpet mat. Very flexible and sturdy. My computer chair moves very well on this mat and my carpeting stays safe. The mat does move over carpet but is very easy to move back in place.

Not perfect, but it serves its purpose.
I ordered the 35" x 47" chair mat with lip, for thick pile carpets. It arrived flat, which was nice. The chair mat is very light in weight. This is both a plus and a minus. The lightness makes it easy to handle when laying it down. But, once it's down, it appears that the lack of weight contributes to the mat getting displaced over time. Also, the cleats on the underside of the mat are very short, as short as the cleats I've seen on mats for low pile carpets. The only noticeable difference is that these cleats are fairly dull. Perhaps this dullness is to prevent snagging and potentially damaging the carpet the way that sharp cleats might? Although this chair mat has handled the weight of me sitting on my office chair just fine thus far, it is a bit annoying that I have to keep moving the mat back into place approximately every other day. I also can't help but feel a bit disappointed at the price difference between the low pile and thick pile versions of this item. I ultimately decided to keep this mat, since it is serving its purpose and because it's just the right size for the space that I have it in. Also, despite my disappointment over the aforementioned price differential, shopping around has led me to realize that this is still a decent deal for a sturdy and functional chair mat that adequately meets my needs.

Very Firm - Chair Moves Easily
I can't really say anything about durability as I just got and positioned mine today. That said, my first impressions are very positive. This pad is firmer than the last few I got from the Office store, and the construction seems heavier than my past mats which were not this firm even when first put down. I purchased the 35" X 47" with lip and mine came packaged FLAT. I know a lot of people complain about chair pads (virtually ALL of them) "drifting" when used. My situation is an office desk with drawer sections on both sides and an alcove to slide my chair in between them. I always put the pad down with the lip intruding into the alcove and an inch or so of the wider part of the pad tucked under the inner (toward the alcove) corners of the drawer sections on each side and the pad NEVER moves. My chair rolls over this pad VERY easily and doesn't seem to sink or indent the pad at all. Only time will tell how well it will hold up, but given the construction in comparison with prior pads I am looking forward to a longer useful life than my past pads.

Works on thick carpet
This works on thick carpet, does not indent where wheels sit like other mats that claim they are for thick carpet. Only thing, it does move like another reviewer stated. But not a deal breaker. Just move back in position, every few days, no biggie.

Made very well.
I actually bought both, one for thin carpets and one for thicker carpets, both Amazon brands. They don't sink when the chair wheels at all so the chair slides very easy. My problem for both of them is that they both walk. Each week I have to move my chair and pull them back where they belong. I had one for years and it never walked so I'd sure like to know how to stop it.

It does the job
I have had this chair mat for only a couple of weeks, but I am impressed. I wanted one that is shipped flat, so I wouldn't have to deal with trying to flatten it or be in danger when I cut the bindings of a rolled mat and it sprung open. This fit the bill. It is sturdy enough that the casters on my chair don't dent it. I bought the one for thick carpet even though my carpet has a low pile, because I believed the short teeth would anchor it. While it doesn't stay exactly in one spot, I need to move it back to its proper spot only every other day or so; I had to move my old mat several times a day. So far, it does everything I need it to do, and the price was very fair.

Shipped by Purolator. Arrived as expected in a flat box. Heavy and Sturdy. Feels like a quality product. Never purchased before so have no comparison. Using it on standard carpet. Mat is heavy so that it doesn't move. And chair slides smoothly. Ticks all my boxes.

Se ve bastante resistente y cumple su función. Apenas llevo unas dos semanas así que está por verse la calidad a largo plazo.

Works perfectly and doesn't sink in allowing the chair to move easily. Would buy again.

The product is nice! However, the PILE CHART is INCORRECT. I checked based on their chart for Thick Pile carpet and bought the mat for the thick carpet. The mat keeps shifting and the pins at the bottom of the mat aren't long enough to grip the carpet. So, if you do have a carpet that is over 0.75" (mine is 1") note that it will shift and you would need to fix it several times in the day.

Been under a year since i bought it, used almost everyday. 1. as soon as i got it and put it down on my carpet, it doesnt stay in place. its meant for a high carpet, but the spikes underneath the placemat are so short they dont work at all. i had to buy clear velco and put it underneath the mat for it to stay in place. 2. the mat is SO sharp when you get it on the edges. i literally cut my feet on it several times. over the span of the year it does seem to have dulled out a little bit, so it's not an issue anymore. 3. the mat actually got a crack right in the middle of it. Disappointed in this product and dont recommend anyone purchasing this no matter what the height of your carpet is. you're better off just buying a cheap chair mat and buying a new one when it inevitably breaks. Don't waste your money on this mat. You can see the velcro i had to add to keep the mat in place. The crack is hard to see because of the carpet underneath, but i assure you it's very broken. you feel it every time you roll over it with the chair.
