Worked exactly how I expected it to.
I work in insurance, so I always buy the protection plan, and I hope that I never have to use it. For the first time, I had to use this protection plan in regards to a CD player, Tape Deck, and Record player combo. We sent off the device after we discovered the CD player didn't work. Turning in the claim was fairly easy though the website was having some issues when we first tried. Once we could get the claim turned in, we had to contact them to get the return label since it did not get sent to our email. Outside of that slight issue, everything went smoothly. Unfortunately, we were unable to get the CD player fixed, so we were sent a gift card to cover the purchase price of the device. All in all, don't take a risk on a high-priced item. Get the protection plan, it was a quick process, and we were able to get our money back after the CD player failed.

Worst plan ever. Beware. no copy of plan comes, Amazon Credit only if buyout happens.
First BEWARE you cannot register your product !!! So they and you do not know what warranty is really for or how works , they change rules and listing as time passes , not date of when I purchased warranty but date of claim where things have now changed to their benefit . So they insisted and Took my product for repair after I explained a proprietary unit only Original Factory parts can be used or it will get worse , and Of course they broke it worse not using factory parts and then more delays again after everyone At Asurion must review and escalate claim ... Then only get claim resolved for Amazon Gift Card , A Credit not reimbursed as you would believe ( yes now says so on listing but did not over a year ago ) you are not compensated with real money back after a month of back and forth nonsense. Now yes listing says about Gift Card , did not tell this over a year ago when I purchased warranty. How is that reimbursement ? It is an Amazon Credit only. You do not really get a true money back buy out in hand but a credit so in reality Amazon gets the money you must use to purchase items from Amazon Only !. A play on words and not a true buy out warranty but a CREDIT !! ...Falsehoods all around., Amazon would not help or put money on my debit card I have listed with Amazon . ..To Note I did not purchase item I got warranty for on Amazon so no way to get my money back now or paying it off on another card I used. ... Amazon got it all and this is totally not really giving me refund but an Amazon credit only !! . I have to buy something at Amazon .. Nonsense. Should be illegal. I tell you they find ways around everything today. BEWARE of all the details and them changing as time passes and you go along.To lastly note I called Asurion before I purchased warranty and told them product not purchased on Amazon and was promised they would make good directly to me not Amazon. well that was not accurate at all...and of course now I am told no one should have told me this and they can send me now a copy of warranty that I never got in first place that now has changed since last year. Update I used gift card to get a Lowe's Gift Card so at least I could now get my money for a product I need. Still have to pay off original purchase warranty was for and will find a way to do so.

It was great I will get it again when I got my speakers from Rockville it came defective even if I had a 1-year warranty I had to pay out of pocket to ship it back for them to check it and it was $300 to ship it back it's like buying a whole brand new speaker all over again Rockville sucks in that area luckily I had assuring Insurance when I purchased the speakers I purchased a sewing they did a great job when I contacted them it was no problem they ship my stuff for free so they could work on it and being that my speaker was not fixable they gave me a gift card for Amazon for $299 the only thing is I really would have wanted my cash back instead of a gift card for Amazon and the second thing is I paid $369 for my speaker but the insurance that I got was only for two 99 so next time I will look what type of level insurance they have because they have insurance for $300 something dollars so next time I will just choose that one but they are great insurance to have. But like I said the only floor I have is I really wouldn't wanted my money back in cash instead of the gift card for $299
