Came packaged well. Easy install with basic hand tools. Warn has a reputation of quality so it should be fine there. Price was excellent. 8000lbs is plenty for my stock XJ. Update after 12 months, used it several times worked flawlessly. Stays outside still looks new. Perfect size for the XJ. Fast line speeds compared to older winches I’ve used. Even though it’s made in China warn sells complete parts (if needed) based on their website. Yes you can spend twice the money on M8000 (which is made in USA)…but No regrets here.

The VR EVO low profile allows for much better air flow to my radiator for added cooling vs the older much higher winch I sold to buy this one. Looks amazing and has plenty of power for my 2 door Rubicon in addition to weighing 30 pounds less than my old MM. Includes both wired and wireless control of the winch for easy operation even if you're out on the trail solo. Easy installation and zero regrets.

installed on a 1946 Jeep CJ-2A and it works flawlessly. the wireless remote is fantastic. new design is lower profile and when installed directly behind bumper, it barely blocks any of the radiator. way more power than needed for a lightweight vehicle. pulls through even deep mud like nobody's business. heck, it is made by Warn. they know what they are doing. don't cut corners. spend a few more bucks for the best.

Order this Warn winch. It had been previously opened. Order new and it had been used see pictures. Retaped packages and opened package. Cable scratches on machine. Amazon gave me a credit discount as it was a used item. Works good, however Warn messed up on remote. They forgot to pin it. So the remote that came with it has to be cable connected. They give a $100 credit to their website store for their mistake. I guess I will buy a warn cover. Wish it had the remote.

So giving in 5 stars because it’s an awesome winch! Love the wireless remote. Looks amazing on Jeep bumper. However it’s super heavy and it’s an issue with shipping. My original purchase when I opened the package the top case was cracked. Had to return. Didn’t want to risk another damage in shipping so purchased locally. Shame because it was a way better price here and shop couldn’t match that low. They came close though.

Works well look great on my jeep and it worked great with Harbor Freight Mount kit hole where perfect no drilling.
