The only downsides I’ve noticed are that cleaning the blade isn’t very easy, and bits of food often get stuck underneath the moving part. I wish it could be fully disassembled for more thorough cleaning. I’ve never tried putting it in the dishwasher, so I can’t comment on that aspect. Another minor issue is the container capacity — it fills up pretty quickly, and sometimes you’ll find diced pieces falling onto the table before you realize it’s full. On the bright side, the suction cups on the bottom keep it firmly in place while cutting, which is a huge plus. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase. Be smart: read carefully, and if a product doesn’t perform in 1–3 days, return it. Free returns exist for a reason. Second: this mandoline is excellent. After reviewing about 30 different mandolines on Amazon and having technical knowledge of manufacturing quality, this one stood out immediately. The construction looks and feels German-grade. Very solid and precise. I originally bought it for a food business where cooks were using cheap wooden mandolines ($6–7). They wore out monthly and caused frequent finger injuries. I love it! It was exactly what I wanted. It was so easy to set up and so easy to use. Granted I only used one setting so far but I’m sure the other settings will be pretty easy. My potato was sliced in seconds! My last mandolin sliced my thumb really bad so I’m glad my hands and fingers are no where near the blades. Thank God!

Okay I just bought this Slicer and it works fabulous. Sturdy product i like that you can fold it away. And cuts my potato chips perfectly!

Such a safe and easy mandoline slicer. No fear of a self sacrifice when using this and very easy to clean.

It's a simple, basic unit that can handle most the tasks you thought you wanted a mandoline for but... It's small so you'll have to cut foods into chunks that will fit into its feed chute. Everything they could get away with is made of hard plastic so don't expect a long life of regular use from this. It's more of an inexpensive way to find out if you'll actually use a mandoline enough to justify buying a good sturdy one.

Excellent outil de coupe légumes. Mérite 6 étoiles car c’est le seul qui rend impossible la coupure grave des doigts…. Il faut très bien lire la notice et faire des essais d’épaisseur de coupe. Bien sûr cet appareil prend plus de place qu’une simple mandoline mais la sécurité des doigts de main prime.
