Great PC Cooling Fans
Perfect hub control for my needs. I run 3 power hungry GPU inside a normal PC case and 2 5000 rpm server grade fans provide the heavy cooling air flow pressure. This hub makes it possible. With the SilverStone PWM Hub system I can isolate the 1.6A (4.5A) start up surge currents of these 2 12 Volt fans and safely power them at the average 3000-5000RPM which I need them to operate at. Excellent product and reliability, build quality and performance is a big plus with this product. Seller shipping time was within the time stated. Very pleased with the product overall.

Works well, looks nice, I like it
I like this product a lot, it can split one fan port into 8 and does not draw any power from your motherboard. It also does this while looking sleek, in case you need to put it somewhere visible inside your case. It does not feel cheap but it also doesn't feel like it is of the highest quality. It draws power from a SATA plug. It connects the speed control from the 4th pin on the motherboard to all 8 fans, and it connects the RPM info from the fan plugged into its glossy looking port to the 3rd pin on the motherboard. It does not connect to the power or ground pin on the motherboard's 4-pin fan connector. You can use it without plugging it into your motherboard but your fans may run at 100% all the time time whereas mine run around 40% most of the time, and boy are they quiet!!! It's really nice to be able to use the fan speed control for so many fans, my case has 6 140mm Be Quiet! Silentwings PWM fans. If you have fans of different sizes, like say you have 3 140mm fans and 1 120mm fans, I would recommend plugging the single 120mm fan directly into your MB and plug the 140mm fans into a hub like this. This way your MB can see the speed of each size fans. Not sure if it matters too much or not, but I notice in another computer I have that the 140mm fans spin at ~550RPM and the 120mm fans spin at ~1,200RPM when they're both set to 40% power. I'm glad this uses a SATA power port instead of an IDE power port. I finally have a PC build free of IDE power connections :)

DOES NOT WORK!
Works perfectly! Plugged the PWM fan header into a designated PWM fan header on the motherboard and set the fan mode to "SILENT" within the BIOS (you can set a higher, more aggressive fan curve if you want), and plugged the SATA power supply to the SATA power lead off the power supply and plugged the three fans into the fan hub. Fans immediately sync up and run at low PWM speeds. Unit is definitely an effective solution for management of multiple 4-pin and 3-pin fans. You can combine both 4-pin PWM fans and 3-pin voltage fans together. The only catch is that you have to use at least one 4-pin PWM fan and plug it into the port that has the glossy look to it with a slight bevel in the plastic that identifies it as the master fan port. You can then plug any kind of fan into the remaining ports and they will slave to whatever PWM signal is sent from the motherboard PWM fan header to the hub itself. Also, make note that most motherboards have multiple 4-pin fan headers, but in actuality only a few of them are PWM compliant. I found this out the hard way and it took me a bit of troubleshooting to find out that there were only 2 4-pin fan headers out of the six 4-pin fan headers on my particular mother that properly supported PWM; the CPU_FAN fan header, and the CPU_OPT fan header. Motherboards vary, so make sure to test the CPU and System fan headers first. the "CHA" and "OPT" labeled fans normally due not support PWM and when you try to use them. They are actually voltage regulated. If you try to use them, the fans will run at full blast 100% speeds. Good luck with this product and let me know if you have any questions!

unfortunately, 1 of 3 Hubs ordered has a slightly deformed case which didn't allow all 4 snap points to fully engage. i used a velcro strap to hold this one in position, which also held the casing shut. the other 2 are mounted using the supplied 3M strips... these are velcro-like, in that they are 2-piece & removable with an adhesive backing, but the plastic pin design is much nicer than hook/loop. the joined objects stay nice & flat w/o rocking or twisting like velcro does. all 3 are working properly as of a week use. 2 run 7 120mm Arctic F12 fans, & the 3rd runs 4 more F12's & 2 140mm Arctic F14's. the custom fan curve i set doesn't spin up until 30c, & is very slow to ramp up, so these hubs are not dealing with a constant or high PWM signal. still, the mobo reads RPM properly, & all spin at an even rate.

Build-saver
This solved my main issue with having an itx build: the motherboard didn't have enough case fan headers. What I really liked were: The build quality. It's small, but the plastic housing feels durable. The ease of use: I used a non pwm fan as the master, and 2 additional non pwm fans as slaves. I wasn't sure if this would be an issue using a non pwm fan as the master, but all it did was run my fans at Max, which is fine. The versatility: they included double sided 3m adhesive, which allowed me to mount this thing anywhere. My small case has very little real estate left, so the ability to attach it in a small area along the back wall of my case was insanely clutch. I highly recommend to anyone with more than 2 fans. This thing really tidies up your cable management as you really only need to use one fan header on your motherboard, the rest just go into the hub.

Simply does the job
- You can connect up to 8 fans. - It has a male SATA connector to power the 8 possible fans and a 2 wire fan connector for monitoring purposes, so you'll need an available fan header and a female SATA power plug. - Includes a two way 3M double sided sticky velcro that is too strong, be aware of where you position your fan hub because is hard to take the tape off. - The device gets the job well done and works as intended. Please read the recommendations I've put below. ***Recommendations*** - The hub regulates ONLY the fan connected to the glossy header and then sets the same speed for the remaining seven. - Since the fan hub only monitorizes one fan it is highly recommended that all the fans connecting to it are exactly the same brand and model. - For those wondering, no this will NOT make your 3-pin fans PWM capable because they're not wired that way. If you want that feature you'll need something that manages the voltage of the fans directly, like the NZXT Sentry 2. Even if the fan connected to the glossy header is PWM and you regulate it, if the other seven are not PWM they'll run at full speed. - Remember this is only a fan hub or you could also say an "8 way powered fan splitter".

Absolutely great. This saves me the hassle of getting my hand in the PC trying to plug those tiny pins which take forever, and when they do, There is ugly wires all over the motherboard which sucks because I have a windowed case. The fan hub itself is powered through SATA connector from my powersupply which is PERFECT because I had 3 extra SATA connectors laying around the back of my PC. Simply connect it to the SATA connector from the Power Supply and then plug the other pin into the motherboard so you can control the PWM fans. Then plug the fans into the actual hub. Also, it holds 8 fans, which is more than enough for most people. The max amount of fans my case can hold is only 4. Unfortunately, two of my fans are not PWM, so I can't control them from the hub, so the hub automatically sets it to full speed, I believe. It's kinda noisy, but I can live with it. If you have a PWM fan, that isn't a problem for you. Overall, the product is great for cable management and just helpful. It's also the cheapest fan hub I've seen on Amazon. Cheaper than NZXT, Phanteks, and other fan hubs. The only con is you can't see that cool Silverstone logo since it will be in the back of your PC.

Simple. Inexpensive. Effective. Love it!
Worked as advertised. I am using this product as the system control hub with a Corsair H115i with Corsair Link software to manage my fans for intake/exhaust air balancing of the whole system based on the coolant temperature in the H115i. The included 3M velcro patches were a nice touch to attach the SilverStone PWM Fan Hub to the roof of my case. Another nod to detail was the one 'glossy' port that reports fan RPM to the mobo and software. I used this port for the Corsair radiator exhaust fans so there was no confusion about which fans were running what speed. I am running three Cougar Vortex 120mm PWM intakes and two Corsair 140mm fans as radiator exhausts off of this hub. Simple. Inexpensive. Effective.

Well, it's a fan hub alright.
There's not much to say. I have a budget mITX motherboard with a grand total of 2 fan headers, one CPU and one Case. I have an AMD card so I needed more than one fan to cool it, otherwise it probably would have melted and created a portal to hell (the heat isn't actually that bad). The hub is fairly compact, is SATA powered, and just works. It comes with adhesive Velcro so you can stick it anywhere in your case. The SATA Power and 4-Pin PWM fan cables are decently long, and I had no issue connecting fans to it. It only gives you 1 PWM slot, soe you can only control and see the RPM of one fan. The others are basically 3 - Pin headers, they'll run at max RPM always. I have 5 fans attached to it currently. 1x200mm Phanteks (It comes with the Evolv ITX), and 4 Cooler Master 120mm value fans (4 fans for $15, not bad at all). I've had no issues at all with the hub. All my fans work, and since all are relatively low RPM, fan noise is not really an issue. However, if you do have some high - RPM fan, your mileage may vary. TL:DR; Great hub, does what it says.

Works as expected. Try the CPU fan port if you can't control your chassis fan speed
Works exactly as expected. The RPM of one fan is reported back, and speed control is applied to all of them. It took some figuring out to get things working properly. I wanted this to control three case fans together, but my motherboard wasn't slowing down the chassis fan port based on temperature and I couldn't control it in software either, so they were all running full tilt. I took the advice of another reviewer here and connected this to the CPU fan port instead, plugging the CPU fan into its first port and the chassis fans into the others. The result is that the motherboard controls the CPU fan based on temperature as normal, but the chassis fan speeds are also scaled by the CPU temperature as well. It works well enough. I don't get a separate RPM readout for the chassis fans but that's fine. Hopefully your motherboard is better than mine, but if not, try the CPU fan port instead.
