I was taking a prescribed diuretic for some health issues which gave me a serious case of gout that I'm still trying to get over (I've since stopped taking the diuretic and substituted dandelion root which, after finding the right amount to take, works just as well much to my doctor's surprise). I first bought this here on Amazon with serious doubts that it would work but desperate enough to give it a try, just in case. I was not disappointed. It takes a few hours for it to work but it does give me pain relief, and with my gout issues, even half a day with reduced pain is a significant blessing. Then I was silly enough to let myself run out because (A) I'm a cheapskate and this stuff ain't cheap, and (B) even after using it I wondered just how much of a benefit was I really getting from it. Well, I found out BIG TIME. After almost a week without the Uricel I was definitely crying "uncle" so I tried to order more, but Amazon couldn't get it to me fast enough (not Prime eligible) so I went directly to the manufacturer's website and ordered through them. They were true to their word, processed my order the same day and sent it Priority Mail. And this time I was smart enough to order 3 bottles. I'm not letting myself run out again. It may not work for everyone (nothing does) but it certainly works for me. I'm on the "bigger" side of the scale so I take half a teaspoon in the morning in an 8 oz glass of water, about double the suggested dose and that works best for me and my situation, which is pretty severe. I also tried taking it again at night but I didn't notice any difference in my pain level when I got up in the morning, when my pain is usually at its worst, but after I take it in the morning it does noticeably lessen the pain in my joints within a few hours. I'm extremely thankful I found this product. Give it a try, it may work for you, too. If not, they'll refund your money.

I'm very impressed with this product. I've had gout for 15 years. For the first 8 years, I controlled it through diet, but finally the attacks were becoming more frequent and more severe, so I started on Allopurinol, at first 200mg for a couple years, then 100mg since then. The point I want to make is this product is just as effective as Allopurinol, which I found hard to believe but it appears to be true. Years ago before I took Allopurinol, I tried natural supplements. This Uricel didn't exist back then (early 2000's), or at least I never came across it. I used something called "Gout Cure", pills with natural stuff. But it wasn't effective enough, which is why I ended up on Allopurinol. A year ago, my prescription of Allopurinol was expiring, and I decided to experiment with not taking it anymore, thinking maybe I didn't need it anymore. After only 10 days of not taking it, my foot was getting serious twinges making me limp, and I went back on it. In fact I had to take 200mg for a month to get back to where I was. Well, this year, my prescription out and out expired before I realized it, and the Doctor didn't have an appointment until a month later. I was going to be without Allopurinol for a month or more! I was in for some serious gout pain. To hold me over, I found this product, Uricel. I was without Allo or Uricel for like 10 days, and my foot was getting twinges, then the Uricel arrived. I took it for a month: 1/4 teaspoon twice a day, morning and night. No gout! Even after I got my Allo back again, I kept using Uricel instead of it until the Uricel ran out. It kept my gout controlled as effectively as Allo. I couldn't believe it. Well, my Uricel ran out, so I'm back on Allo. That's the one thing... the Uricel isn't cheap, like $50 for a month. Whereas Allo is just like $4 to me (copay) for a month. So, I'm on Allo instead, but just wanted to report back here to say, this Uricel stuff works! If someone is not wanting to take Allo for some reason, this is a great alternative.

This product has been a miracle worker for my husband, who has suffered from gout for many years. Taking the prescription meds always makes him feel sick, and foggy, and horrible; plus they come with a host of scary side effects, which we hated. This year his gout was flaring up for the first 3 months of the year, every day, much worse than usual for him. The ONLY thing that got him back on his feet and painfree was trying this product. We didn't expect it to work, honestly; but he did take two doses faithfully every day. By the 3rd or 4th day, his gout pain was almost gone, and he was able to walk much easier. Now it's been a couple of months, and he is still taking two doses a day, one in the morning, and one at night. We ended up buying two more bottles of it since it seemed to be working so well. And then, this wonderful vendor sent us a FREE bottle. Well, that clinched it for us, this is going to be a lifetime product for my husband, if they don't find a cure for gout. Just having him be able to get off the prescription pills has made him SO happy. Any day that he feels a twinge of pain coming on when he wakes up, we make sure he takes the full 3 doses that day, and by the next, that pain is gone. Two doses seems fine for maintenance, though; when he is not actively flaring up. I would highly recommend this to anyone who suffers from gout like my poor husband does. It's so nice to have him back to his old, pain-free self! THANK YOU! Please don't EVER stop making this product!
