I think this might be the best exhaust for a Cooper S for this price (maybe not anymore)
I just received this Q300 exhaust a couple days ago, finally got it installed (took way longer than it should have). I just want to write a quick review in case any one else wanted to buy from this seller. Pros: Sounds great for the price. Not obnoxiously loud. Stainless steel (I think) Fit together very well*. The install was supper easy. Came with two really cool stickers Cons: Took a month to get here even though it said 1-2 weeks. Though I do have to say they were very helpful whenever I had questions. *I had to cut the very top (where the exhaust connect to the down pipe) about half an inch so it would fit in the down pipe. It gets pretty loud inside the car from 2.5k-3.5k rpm. Idle is fine and it seems to get quieter 4k+ rpm, at least on the inside. Smells pretty bad in the beginning. There is some oil stuff on the inside on the pipes and I think it is that burning. I've only had it one day so I don't know when it goes away. I'd imagine it would be fine after a couple days of long driving. It is a bit heavier than the stock exhaust The sound inside the car isn't that great. It really does sound SO much better than the stock exhaust , I had a friend drive it and I could still here it a few blocks away when he really stepped on it but it was almost like stock at idle. Just make sure you do your research before buying, know when you're getting into. btw I have an 07 Cooper S. Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the top part where I had to cut it off. Just look around in some forums and I'm sure you'll find a picture of it. I may update this review once I've drive it more Edit: it's been a few weeks. I think it actually sounds worse now. The exhaust sounds much quiter but the engine noise is much louder (not sure that makes sense). The Cooper engine whine is way louder and there is like a solid base note that is very loud. But the exhaust rumble is not load at all. I may edit again in the future

Good alternative to stock.
It installs fairly easily, almost as easily as the stock exhaust comes out. You need a 12 mm wrench/socket to get the bracket off the middle of the Mini and a 16 mm deep well socket to get the v-clamp off & back on at the front as well as some kind of spreader tool for the clamp. Be carefull removing the v-clamp so you can reuse it, unless you also buy a new one. A 17 mm wrench/socket to tighten the 2 clamps that hold the 3 sections together & it mounts to the R56 with the 4 rubber mounting grommet things. Get it all loosely fitted then tweak things to get everything all lined up nicely. Then comes the hard part, figuring out exactly where on your cool little Mini to place & orient the 2 shiny & sparkley stickers that com with it! It's a bit louder than I would prefer (I like stealth mode quiet), with a deeper/throatier sound than the stock exhaust, but it is a heck of a lot less expensive than the stock part! It works & looks good.
