Awesomeness
This is awesome. I felt like it was super easy to do and it works wonderful to get out the uneven spots and I need to do this weekly to fit into hoof boots. Super happy with it as I struggled between farrier visits to keep the flare down

Performs as promised, worth the money.
Easy to use, performs as described. My horse is barefoot year-round, and gets trimmed once in spring to balance his feet and bring his heels back. The rest of the year I use this rasp. I find it easiest to use it every week or two weeks for a brief touch-up but I have gone longer and used this rasp to get things back in shape. I'd still use a regular rasp to remove flares or a big piece of hoof that is breaking off.

Three Stars
A great idea and well made, just kind of hard for my small hands to hang on to.

Riders Rasp is useless
I got the rasp and have tried it on several horses. Honestly, I think I could do a better job with an emery board. It fits nicely in the hand, it just doesn't take off any hoof at all no matter how hard I try. Nice idea, need better rasps on it.

It's pretty good!
I bought this because I wanted something to help shape my horses hooves in between trimmings. It's good for in between trims but you have to apply a lot of force for it to take much off. My horse doesn't seem to mind me using it. Pros: + I find it fits well in the hand. + Cleans well with a hard brush. Cons: - Needs Rasp Refills. - Needed a good bit of force to use. I would buy this again, but I guess I'm not wild about having to purchase the refills.

Great Maintenance Tool
Fits nicely in hand, light weight, easy to use. Great tool to maintain hooves, not to remove large amounts. Keeps nicks and splits from occurring on barefoot horse by using every two weeks.

No chips, easy to use, even with arthritis!!
I bought this to keep my TB horse from getting chips and cracks in between farrier visits. I live in Texas and the ground can get like concrete, so if my boy is stomping at flies, he starts chipping his hooves. It took a bit to get the hang of it, but after a little bit, I was able to get his feet nice and rounded, like a mustang roll. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I thought it would be hard to hold this but the grip is big enough that my hands don't cramp up. The best part...No chips!!

Absolute Junk!
Rider's rasp is a terrible waste of time and money. As it does not do the quarters on the foot and you cannot get enough momentum in that short of space to actually pare down the hoof wall. You would have to apply 20 to 30 pounds of pressure to even get a powder out of what you are rasping. I liken this product to more of a cheese grater and probably a poor one at that. The metal is not sharp like on a real rasp. You would have to work for 20 minutes to get anything off the foot.
