When do you change out the batteries? I am testing it now. I don't get an error on the panel. the batteries go from100% to 80% when 21w for 1 hour.

In talking to the tech folks, they tell me, "This unit has been discontinued for 4 yrs or so and it is not built to have replacement batteries" I responed, "Then why does it stae in manual about potential battery replacement?" Never heard back. I ahve jsut replaced the batteries but it is a MAJOR ordel and you'd better have someine that isn't shy about getting into the guts of the generator." Overall I'm disappointed in this unit and would ot recommed it to anyone.

Is the AC port grounded? Can it be?

Yes but the problem is that they have used a cheap inverter. After a few uses the thing fries and can't be fixed so it's JUNK. FORGET BUYING THIS PIECE OF CRAP!
