Does the job on a 2016 Mini N18 engine. 5 stars for cost-benefit ratio. Had to slightly polish the crank pin holder tool (with emory paper and trans fluid) to make it smooth enough to fit in the hole of the bellhousing. Once that was done, it was a super precise fit to set crank position. On the cam side of things, you pick the adapters that fit (no instructions or labels on the tools). Wasn't hard to figure out. The intake holder was a tight fit but the boss wouldn't go 100% true to the head surface. Close enough with all 3 bolts tightened to about 90in-lb. The exhaust holder went much truer to the head surface but the part that holds the flats of the cam was a bit loose, allowing the cam to rotate back and forth about ½degree. Close enough again. The bolts that come with the kit are junk and their shoulder is too long to use with N18 holders from this kit. They're standard m6 so who cares. I found my own and the job went smoothly. Once finished, I reset the vanos and valvetronic adaptations and it runs like new with no faults.

No issues with this kit when used on an N18. All parts fit correctly and timing is spot on

Tool fit n worked perfectly..no issues at all Some I've had to grind the tool because it wouldn't fit over the cam but this one was perfect out the box

2013 JCW R56 Mini- This tool worked great. The flywheel locking pin worked with no modifications. Also, I did not have any issues mounting the cam tool interfering with the turbo. No modifications were needed to the tools. Make sure you use the larger flywheel pin (there are 2 sizes in the set) on the N18 engine.

Specific to one group of cars, this set makes setting timing easy. Install the tool align the crank to tic and install the timing set. Your done! Timing will be dead on and the car will start right up and run smooth.

Works exactly like the factory tool. As always, does not come with directions, but follow the service manual proceedure, and this works exactly like the original tool.
