Nicely made sketch board. Great once you figure out how to open the built-in clips.

I got the big one to use as an easel. I do a lot of paint by number acrylics and this board is perfect for those. (I like to lay mine flat and hunch over them, much to the chagrin of my back and neck.) The board is lightweight and easy to operate. The clips are kind of like safety pins. They kind of push down and clip in, which is normal for this kind of clip. If you struggle to operate yours you can find tutorials online about them. I think they are very simple to use even one handed once you know how. The giant rubber band works just fine. The board is light for its size and easy to grab by the handle and get off my table when dinner time comes. Way better than the old piece of cardboard I was using before. I'm happy with my purchase. I suspect I will soon buy the smaller size for drawing and coloring, which I also do often. Nice product, it'd be a lovely gift for anyone crafty.

My son loves it alot though he hasn't started to use it as yet because of his course selection

Good board. It looks good, it’s nice and thick, and also light weight so easy to carry. It’s true to the size as well. I’d say the value for your money is good. HOWEVER, the clips are rather tedious. So if you want some easy clips I wouldn’t recommend this.

This board is a great size. The handle makes it portable and the clips and rubber band hold your artwork in place. Useful and functional for any artist.

This is my edited review. At first I gave one star because they purposely shipped me a busted board. But I returned that one and received the new one, which was in perfect condition. Even the clasps work perfectly— I knew the first one had clasps that were difficult, but this one shows me the difference between busted and working. I haven't officially used it yet, but I have no doubt it will be precisely what I needed. Thanks! (Original review below) The Amazon box was perfectly fine, but the product had significant damage that would affect how it works. I'm thinking whoever grabbed this at the warehouse must have been in too big a hurry. Maybe it was a robot. I am having it replaced. All that said, if the product hadn't been damaged, I imagine it would have been perfect. The concept is basic and it should do what it's meant to do, no problem. The board is rigid and tough enough for normal use. The hardware appears to be effective and simple. The rubber band seemed rubbery and bandy. Perfect!

What I really like abou this style of art board is that the 2 clips work independent of each other - What I mean is you can loosen both of them - put your paper in - tight one, and then tighten the other - standard clip board clips are hard to navigate putting paper on the baord and clipping them in
