My grands loved this! The 5 year old needed help pushing the clay out onto the body, but was able to cut the pieces and attach. The 8 year old needed some help pushing the clay through the body, but then was able to smooth and mold the clay. The rest he did himself. They had a great time and we very pleased with the finished product.

This was purchased as a Christmas gift for a 6 and 10 year old. It was packaged in a plain brown box with the molds in a clear bag. In general we were just looking for the model magic, so the “build a beast” is just a bonus. If you are looking for a nicely packaged giftable item, this may not be it. The product is just as expected though

Good news: this was for my own child and not someone else. Also, the online directions are easy to follow since I know what it is. Bad news: it came all lumped into a brown Amazon package. This would have sucked as a present. There were no directions or hints about the box of rando contents had I not known what it was. As a product overall, loads of fun, but each design is a one time use. Be sure to get it on sale or a lightning deal to not feel like you were duped out of your money. My 6 year old loved it, but we explained that she really needed to do up her design well the first time since it would be a permanent design. She was ok with that since we knew this was the case, but had we not prepared her, I think she might have had a total meltdown if we found out on the spot.

My 7 year old and 3 year old worked together to put this together. (With adult supervision) They both really enjoyed it. It took us about an hour to put it together. We will see how it handles rigorous play once it has dried.

Not suitable as a present. Opened the plain, brown cardboard box and found a jumble of loose packages. Very limited instructions included in the package. All this is shown in the pictures but I was blinded by the Crayola name as I expected some kind of presentation from that company. Also, I don’t think there was any Science/Technology/Engineering/Math value to this item. I should have read the reviews and not gone by just the star rating.

This was really fun for my 5 year old and I to work on together. Probably not something he could have done solo, but he enjoyed it a lot! The clay had a good texture, was lightweight and easy to work with.

We enjoyed it! Made for 5+ but the younger child had fun with it also. The directions were a little confusing although the project is almost self explanatory. Takes about a day to fully dry/set. This came as a box within a larger box. Other than the sets not coming in their own packaging, I'd by this again.

I sent this to my 7 year old grandson and he loves it! He loved putting the skeleton together and adding the clay to create the "skin". I will buy some of the other models for him.

Bought this for my son for Christmas. We haven’t done it yet, but the one we did before he really loved. These are a lot of fun.

Great kit - 5 yr old with his Mum did this - quite hard buthad such a really fun time. Thoroughly recommend
