Upper Deck World of Warcraft Drums of War PVP - Battle Decks

You get two 40 card decks with this product. One for a Human Mage and the other for a Troll Hunter. Each deck contains all the cards you need to start playing, plus a rule book and some over-sized hero cards. I read the rule book and it says I need at least 60 cards in my deck to play. I had some booster packs I bought from Wal-Mart a few years ago for the artwork, so I was able to make two full decks, and modify the Human Mage deck to a somewhat handicapped Blood Elf Mage deck. Plus like the other reviews said, this is a great teaching tool, I was able to learn to play and teach my 10 year old sister. I am new to this, so not sure the rule book is up to date.

This deserves a 4 because I love the fact that it has 2 decks in it...................however the guidebook says a deck needs a minimum of 60 cards even though the decks you get only have 44 cards. I may be new to wtcg...................but some of the rules could have changed over........time..............idk Overall love the cards and the 3 oversized heroes!

I was pleasantly surprised by this box set. It came shrink wrapped and complete, and in perfect condition. Since I'm new to the game, all of the cards were new to me, and I was glad to see some uncommons and even a couple of rares (there are 8 cards that are exclusive to this box set apparently, as well). The two decks included are ready to be played right out of the box, which is much easier than trying to put together decks on my own. My favorite part of this set may be the box itself: It's well made, contains storage for the two decks plus instructions and more, and I really think it looks sharp. Much more attractive on a shelf than a white cardboard box!

I did receive this pack brand new, and it did come early. However, my only regret is the fact that the cards contained in this pack are more tailored to pvp battling... I was hoping to get some cards to boost my hero raid deck. Oh well, at least I have one less set to buy before I get the whole collection.

Ordered two of these in the hopes that some friends of mine could jump in and experience the game on the cheap. Maybe kind of get them involved so that they could play right away and experience the game. I did not realize that the decks were exactly the same in each box and the only thing that changed was the large hero cards (which I managed to get duplicates of 2 of the cards). This set is old and outdated. It is made by Upper Deck. You can surely use it, like I did, but you won't be able to get very far when it comes to the game now. The case is nice and I like the artwork. One of my cases does not clip properly, though. Not a big deal, I left it among the library of roleplaying books that we centralize for our nerd nights.

It was exactly as described, and lovely sealed collectible set of cards and deck for starters.

Nice game and mechanics. Excellemt product presentation and quality. Alliance deck seems a bit weak compared to Horde's. Game feel more strategic than Magic.
