A GREAT LITTLE TELEVISION
I am so pleased with this television. The picture is sharp and the colour is good. On reading the reviews before I purchased it I was pre warned about the poor sound due to its small size so I bought a second hand sound bar and now have good sound quality. The DVD is in full working order which was important to me as I like to watch one occasionally. It is lightweight so easy to move to put in attachments. I am completely satisfied with this purchase.

Great quality picture, and slim depth.
I bought this TV to fit the bracket on our new Adamo 754-dl. The fitment requires a tv that has a shallow depth front to back. This TV fits the bill perfectly. The picture quality is great with full HD, and the dvd is a bonus. IT's great to find so many features in a 12v / 240v TV at this price point. One thing to not is that all these small TVs have a relatively poor sound quality, but I use a bluetooth speaker which improves the sound considerably. I personally rate this TV far hight than the far more expensive Avtex TVs that the mtorhome dealers push. I don't think anyone would be disappointed with this TV, and I highly recommend it.

Great little TV!
I bought one of these little TVs for my kitchen. I was particularly impressed by its features, having a built-in DVD player, and the choice of terrestrial, freeview, or freesat capability. I think it can also display JPEGs, and it can play CDs. It comes with a great little remote control, and an upright stand- although this is a little flimsy. So far, I've only used it for Freesat. The picture quality is good, but the EPG capability is limited. If you press the EPG button, it only gives you info for the current & next programme. You can scroll up & down between the channels, but once you leave the current page, it has no programme info apart from the channel name. The sound quality is not very good! However, I plugged in a spare pair of computer speakers I had, and these have improved the sound. The DVD player works great, although do be careful not to have the rear of the player exposed to bright sunlight, as this stops it from working! It also plays CDs adequately. The supplied stand is a little flimsy, and after a while it will start to warp! I remedied this by sticking a couple of extra rubber feet on the bottom. So, all in all, I'm happy with this TV, although the sound is a bit disappointing. Also, the very basic EPG lets it down a bit. I've knocked a star of for these reasons. Other than that, it's a fab little TV.

excellent tv at a good price
I bought this TV after looking at quite a few options on Amazon. It was to replace the Avtex TV I had when the van was new in 2009 One of the main reasons I chose this was because it had an in built DVD player. I have a motorhome and carry some DVDs with me in case I cannot get a TV signal especially when abroad. I pick the DVDs up from charity shops and keep them in the van so they are ideal. I am going to France for 2 weeks at the end of July and so the TV will be fully tested then but this is my initial thoughts review The in-built satellite receiver was also another main reason I chose this as I had replaced the automatic sat dome on the van last week. The cables trailing about the place were a real pain so this was another good feature as was the ability to Chromecast from my phone. This 19in was the same physical size as the 15in Avtex it is replacing but this screen is almost edge to edge whereas the Avtex had a massive 2in border all round the screen and it was not widescreen like the snipe. The snipe fitted directly to the current TV arm with no adjustments and plugging in the satellite F plug and cable and setting the satellite to find astra 2, I plugged in the TV and when it came on a few seconds later โโcentral newsโ was live and kicking on the TV. The picture was bright and clear and the one thing I did test was the viewing angle. When I am watching TV in the front of the motorhome sitting about 5m away there was no real issue with the Avtex but I can also watch TV in bed by swinging the TV 180 deg. With the Avtex the picture would be dark as my head was then a lot lower than the screen and when dark scenes are played the screen would be almost black and the characters and scene would be almost invisible. Iโm happy to report that the snipe suffered none of these issue (I think being LED as opposed to LCD) and even with my head positioned very low down the picture did not change at all which I was very pleased about. The sound was I feel fine for a small TV as I do not have a soundbar or Dolby surround sound at home and so the sound to me seemed fine and I think people who notice the difference probably have a much better sound set up at home. After a day or 2 I thought I would look at the menus in the TV in a bit more detail. It was then I was please to see that the satellite receiver can be set up to receive lots of different satellites. This was great for me as I had just had an automatic satellite dish fitted which was ca;able of tuning to Astra 2 (the normal UK sat, and also astra 1, astra 3 and hotbird. Trying out hotbird I was chuffed to find I could tune into that as well. Not that there is a great choice of channels but there are some English speaking channels like BBC news. Not having cables trailing about is a real plus for me so there is just the mains (or 12v) lead and a sat cable. No scart connections or anything else and the Van looks a lot tidier. I was even more impressed that the digital TV was multi region and so if I was in France or Germany I could tune the French or German tv (or most other European countries come to that). I was in a large caravan accessories outlet recently and saw the AVtex units on sale at over ยฃ400 but they looked bulkier than the snipe so I am wondering what I would get for the extra money So first impressions are that this is an excellent TV for camping, caravanning etc as well as perhaps a small bedroom or kitchen in the house at an affordable cost.

Great picture
The tv is easily set up and operate. DVD works easily. The size was ideal for our caravan but I found the sound quality a little disappointing. Overall though I am pleased with my purchase

Don't dream of using without a sound bar
The picture is very good and for that reason I'm keeping the TV. But the sound is genuinely atrocious, horrible, terrible, rotten and not fit for purpose. I'd paid more for a Sniper rather than a Cello because I knew the Cello sound was poor, and reviews suggested the Sniper was okay. It's not. You can't consider using the TV without adding a soundbar or other exterior sound output. Using the 12v connection on my narrowboat, my Amazon Fire Stick operated via the TV's USB port but there was an audio delay, so the sound was out of sync. That went away by using a direct power connection for the Fire Stick. So it took extra fiddling to set up, but I'm happy enough with it now. If you're hoping for a 12v TV with half-decent sound reproduction built in, the Sniper is NOT it. I know many smaller TVs have similar issues, but honestly this model would be better sold without speakers at all, rather than the pathetic tinny rattlers supplied.

Unit received faulty - can not detect signal - hope the replacement one works when it arrives.
Fantastic picture, has all the features and power options desired - and more. Simple operation and setup - just wish it worked. Connected it to the areal at two points to test side-by-side with the house TVs, even tried the satellite cable. It did like the HDMI from the sky box - so that's how I know the picture is good. Sound is what it is - like all small flat screens - benefits from an external speaker - but adequate if you tweak the settings to adjust out the tinny frequencies. Hoping for as quick an exchange as the delivery - which was 24hrs before estimated. I promise to review fully the replacement, provided it recognises when it has an areal plugged into it. The replacement unit was exchanged for the faulty one. This one recognises the areal inputs and works like it should. Great picture, reasonable sound as to be expected, neither the cheapest nor the most expensive - so happy with the value for money - it's not a smart tele, but if you are wild camping - you won't always have wi-fi or 4g anyway. DVD wasn't part of the spec I was looking for, so an added bonus. Easy to assemble and straightforward to operate, lightweight, so ideal for the motorhome.
