Will this fit an "allister door control system type ii" opener? mine is seventies avocado green with black rubber trim, if that helps!

This cover fits my 1988 "Allister Door Control System Type IIA". The dimension of cover that fits over the unit is approximately 8" wide X 4" tall.

Does anyone have the approximate dimensions of this light cover available/handy?

The light cover is 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 and around 3inches deep

What is the brightest LED bulb that can be used with this lens without causing a heat issue?

This light cover was designed to cover a 60 W incandescent light bulb (and the light bulb is only on for perhaps 5-minutes at a time). LED light bulbs emit very little heat compared to an incandescent bulb, so you could probably safely use a 100w equivalent LED bulb without heat issues.
