I have had the phone for 2 months now Good: Regular security updates Speaker quality is good for the price Good screen Good battery life Reasonable performance Call quality is excellent Bad: Face unlock is to slow making it almost useless Camera software is buggy (3rd party camera app fixes that) Very limited storage even when nothing extra is loaded (this should really be an Android GO device to avoid this)

what a didnt like is the fone is no good to me as the fone dont and wont connect to mobile wifi it will only connect to the internet when am at home at the hub

My mom loved the gift she was in desperate need of a phone update! It's easy to use,nice and light weight and good enough camera quality.

Where to begin... As I sit here and hold the Nokia 2.2 between my hands and every second passes, the harder it becomes to stop myself from launching it to the bottom of a very deep cavern. Who on earth made this capsule of dispair. The moment you ask it to perform the simplest of tasks, it melts and that isn't a memory issue with 94% storage still available. I have 3 non Google related apps which perform poorly. The phone regularly crashes and becomes unresponsive and I've not even had it for a month. Google is constantly trying to reach into every single morsle of data you generate. It's slow, clumsy,irritating, doesn't show you notifications ( which is a common problem after further investigation) and the camera crashes everytime you open it. This phone would be more useful as a door stop.

2021 UPDATE: The Nokia 2.2 now has Android 11 on it, and I have found it to be buggier, slower, and laggier, and almost to a point of being unusable at times. I believe that this phone has been let down by the Mediatek SOC, pathetic amount of RAM, and the inexcusable 16GB of storage. Unless this is to be used as a pure basic use phone, calls, texts, and basic apps like news, Spotify, and social media. then I would recommend staying clear of this device. The Nokia 2.2 is quick, lightweight and surprisingly good given the price and the hardware inside. It has a screen resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels, 19:9 ratio, and a pixel per inch density of 295. Personally I do not call 720p to be HD, but given the screen size of 5.7 inches, it would be hard to think otherwise in compairosn on a 6.3 FHD phone screen (i refer to my own Honor Play). The downsides of this phone includes the storage of 16GB. It is a bit of a deception when it says there are 16GB for you to use, but in reality you get about 5.5GB of usable storage. and the rest is for the OS. A MicroSD card is highly recommended! But that segways into my next downside. The phone does not add the MicroSD Card as expansion to the internal storage, something I might add that my Honor Play does as an optional feature. But looking at Storage in the settings menu, it does imply that the MicroSD card has been included as an expansion, and for me it reads as '21% used - 63.38GB free.' Not all Apps will install onto the MicroSD card in the Nokia 2.2 and the same will go for photos and pretty much most of anything else. Thankfully one of my favourtie apps, Audible (not an endoresment) has installed onto the MicroSD card along with 9 other apps. The apps on the internal 16GB which cannot be moved include all the Google apps which get as big as 377MB, 292MB. 220MB, 140MB, 123MB, 103MB, 102MB, 87.95MB, which i find to be too much, and could probably be stripped down given this phone has limited capacity. Now the camera, let's just say I have used a lot worse. I find sometimes the camera wont even take a photo when pressing the caputre button and I have to restart the app for it to work. The quality is hit and miss but when it is a hit, they can be of a decent quality, but dont expect DSLR quality. The video , let's just say its ok. It has been stuttering in terms of quality when I panned the phone from right to left, and if you want smooth 4K which clearly this phone has not got, then I would suggest another phone. Now for the good features. Out of the box you will have stock Android 9 which is smooth and does not lag (you will experience some lag when it is first switched on, but this will go away), and is guaranteed 2 updates upto Android R. Opens open very fast, and I have tested this between the lite and full versions of apps including Twitter, FB and FB messenger, but to save spacwe, I recommend the lite versions. I have tested it against my Honor Play which has a flagship Hisilicon Kirin 970 (10 nm) CPU and 4GB RAM, and the differences in app opening times is 1 or 2 seconds against the Nokia 2.2 which has a Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 (12 nm) and 2GB RAM. It can play games smoothly though I wouldn't recommend putting PubG on as its graphically demanding, but arcade games will be perfect for this phone, and the Google Play Store has a special section for games under 25MB. There is a single speaker on the back of the phone which is great for audiobooks, though headphones would be better for music using the headphone jack on the top right of the phone. Watching videos works just ok but you will only get 720p but this shouldn't hinder the overall experience. #The phone has the rare feature of a removable battery, and if you are considered to be a heavy user, it would be good to have a spare battery to carry around and swap in seconds, instead of carrying the charging cable and a power bank. The battery will last you a day and has a capacity of 3000Mah which is bigger than the iPhone X at 2716Mah. Call quality is good and you can easily hear the person on the other end and volume is adjustable. The vibration on many midrange and flagship phones isnt typically that strong, and with my Honor Play I have missed many calls and texts due to a weak vibration motor. With the Nokia 2.2 you will not fail to miss it as it has a strong vibration motor. So, who is this phone for? It could be used as a spare phone, or for holidays if you dont want to be glued to your £500 or even £1000 flagship for the whole time. It could be good for a younger person's first phone and even for an older person who wants something simple and easy to use.

I nearly didn’t order this phone because lots of the reviews have been pretty poor. Nevertheless, I needed a new phone and this suits me perfectly. It is a budget phone, but looks good, has a lovely screen size and is fine for my purposes. I’m not going to go into all the technical specifications, you can see these in the description and in other reviews. I wasn’t looking for a gaming centre or flashy camera. It takes okay photos, certainly good enough for me and I can play games and download apps. I wanted a phone primarily for calls and texts and if that’s what you are looking for, then in my opinion this phone is really good value for money. I’m happy to recommend it as a basic, budget phone.

I suppose the old saying "you get what you pay for" is pretty true, it certainly is with this phone. It seemed like a good price but it isn't worth even that. The 16G is almost used up with just the installed apps, the face recognition works about 20% of the time and my God it's slow. My advice spend a bit more and get something that works properly.
