Tusk Crankcase Splitter/Separator Tool – Adjustable Arms & 6mm & 8mm Mounting Bolts for Vertically Split 2-Stroke and 4-Stroke Crankcases

Good splitter, used to split Harley M8 case over the overpriced Jims. Takes a little effort to setup due to all the moving parts, but once it's setup, works great. Wanted to reduce a star, but I was using this for a Harley and not offroad vehicle as the MFG intended. Same principal but the HD cases are larger and this tool was not "made" for that.

worked like a champ, splitting cases on a small engine 50cc required this, and two other specialty tools totalling $95 worth of tools. Hopefully I will be using them more often!

Tusk makes good quality tools. Definitely pricey compared to others but held up way better than a cheaper version I purchased. If you are planning on doing multiple motors I’d highly recommend spending the money.

Worked well, split CR500 cases perfectly. Needed the right tool for the job with cases that are this expensive.

Worked for what my husband needed it for

Used to separate a 40 year old engine that has been outside collecting leaves dirt and rain. Some heat ,penetrating oil, rubber mallet and some patients.

I will say I question the durability of this unit prior to purchasing it however the above pictures explains what beast this little thing is it literally tore the case in half. Are used it for a ‘15 Polaris Ranger 570 and I didn’t see a bolt in the middle of the case due to it being covered in dirt and grease it yanked the top half right out Bolt and everything. Great Job Tusk y’all made a solid product.
