My fiancé loved how these flavored his mead batches. Very nice subtle taste. He can't wait to try more! Next time he said he wants to add more in the individual batch as he split them up between batches this time. Good quality for the price

My go to for any aging for a fine whiskey taste. Perfect color and great rapid age for a great price. Very easy to use just size it up and drop it in. Perfect fit for most any use. Functions just how you'd need.

I have been making wine for 3 years now and as i increased the amounts bottled the need to add oak flavor to that wine as been handled many different ways. At first oak chips were added to the containers as it aged. Ok! but really messy to remove from the containers. Oak cubes better but not great. Then i found spirals from the Barrel Mill and these were great for the small tanks but to big for carboys. The French oak infusion spirals are smaller and fit right into the carboys. My biggest concern is that the instructions state that 2 spirals per 6 gallon container, 6 weeks max saturation. Here is were you need to be careful. These things work fast. At 3 weeks my wine had all the oak needed and had to be removed. I would like to see the spirals wrapped with a nylon netting and a string that would allow them to be removed from the containers with out pouring the wine into another container, called racking. If you can't use barrels this is the way to go.

I used these to add some oak flavor to the cabernet wine I make every year. It adds just the right amount of oakiness. I add 2 oak spirals to each 5 gallon carboy and leave them in for about 2 months. I like them so much I buy them every year.

My first efforts with Bulleit Burbon and a little vermouth turned out quite well. I had a friend try the mix before and after, each in a small shot glass. He was stunned when I told him they were the same except one had been aged. I'm confident he is going to be purchasing some of these soon.

Just love them, so happy that I bought them.

I am a bit disappointed with these. I only aged the whiskey for about 4 weeks. There is an oily aftertaste. It's not great. Not sure i would buy these again.

Adds a nice amber color plus a beautiful scent of caramel and vanilla. Unbelievable.
