Surfsafe Waterproof Sports Case

Originally purchased in January of 2019. Has been used on several beach vacations being opened and closed several times a day and has never failed us. On our last vacation in November 2025 the pin on the locking mechanism gave out. We were still able to finagle things and continue to use the rest of the trip. Never had any issues with water getting in and was submerged several hours under water every day. It is quite small but we were able to fit 2 rooms keys and at least 6 bills folded up in it. Just ordered a new one and hopefully it holds up just as well.

I bought this case for a trip to Hawaii, spending time at the pool and beach. At the pool it allowed me to keep my hotel key card and some cash in my board shorts, saving me from worrying about leaving my wallet unattended at my lounge chair. It did not feel big in my pocket, about the size of a normal wallet. Yes, it works great, didn't leak once after spending 6 days in the pool, the water slide, and in salt water too. I can confirm it does float with 3 cards plus a wad of cash. If you open it on the beach make sure to keep sand off the rubber seal, I suspect that sand on the seal could potentially cause it to leak. Great product, perfect for a vacation use. I plan to use it this summer for a 4-day mountaineering trip, my scale shows this only weighs 42 grams (1.5 oz) without the leash and carabiner, perfect to keep a few things dry and protected if if rains. Just FYI, I have the yellow color, which keeps the contents private.

This is a thin case, it's not going to hold a pack of cigarettes, but will hold cash and cards. I liked this because I wanted something that wasn't bulky and could carry in the water. I used it in cancun sind and in the pool to hold to money. It worked great for that and kept the cash dry.

So this is about the size of a small wallet and holds about cards or 10 folded bills and a drivers license. It is smaller b design so does not fit a cell phone. I bough this to hide my cash when going snorkeling. The holder comes with a carabiner clip. I simply put my cash and drivers license in the holder. Clip it closed and use the carabiner clip to hook to my swimsuit bra strap. It is not visible under my sun shirt. Perfect camouflage, definitely not a huge target like the waterproof cell phone cases. If you want something small for cash and ID this is it. I had no issues, case was waterproof and kept my cash dry.

It’s quite small so don’t expect to put a phone in there but it’s perfect for holding cash, credit cards, room key and maybe a single car key while you dive. Not a drop of water entered the compartment at 120’ deep underwater. Latch it safely to your BCD and enjoy the dive.

This has worked well now for a couple of visits to a local waterpark. We figured out how to put what of value we really need to take into the park that needs to stay dry (the valet key to our car, our passes, and a bit of money) into this case, and save the cost of locker rental. I've used it twice, and it works great, and has already paid for itself vs. cost of renting a locker twice. Wearing it on the lazy river and water slides works great. In the wave pool, I tend to hold it in my hand even though the string is around my neck, as it floats and I don't want it to possibly get away from me. That's okay, though, as I typically just jump over the waves as they come. Every time I have opened it, contents are completely dry.

Have purchased approx five of these cases over past ten years and used as my wallet. Love the compact nature, wayerproof qualities and fact that it doesn’t look like a standard wallet. Great product for those of us that are always out enjoying the outdoors. Lately though I’ve had three of these cases break within 6 months of use with ‘lip’ on latch failing each time. Suspect something has changed in manufacturing of product as they used to rock solid.

I have now taken this on/to: 12 day cruise, 7 day cruise, Disney World, and Indy 500. I really like it. On the 12 day cruise it was just my husband and I, so I bought this so we can swim in the ocean together with this full of our cash, IDs, and ship cards in my husbands swim trunks. We hooked the metal hook on to my husbands trunks (there was a little loop on his trunks in his pocket) and then because I'm a worrier we also tied the neck strap to his trunk strings. Everything stayed dry! We just took it on a 7 day cruise where I used it as a wallet while on the boat and also off the boat. We didn't end up submerging it this time since we traveled with 14 people and there was always someone hanging out with our stuff at the beach. We also used this at Disney World where we got stuck in two huge downpours and this was in a backpack with our IDs and cash, and once again kept things dry (note: the other contents in the bag were damp, but not wet or soaked). We also took it to Indy 500 since it was supposed to rain (80% chance of thunderstorms all day), but it ended up bring dry until after the race so this was just our wallet that day. Overall, I really like this and might buy another!

The one I got is too small and thin. Can fit only some bills and cards. No way could it be used for an electronic car key, or for a larger modern house key.
