What a miracle this product is
I purchased a few of these. I did my shower diverter and it had no shout off vowels. It made plumbing very easy. It’s so well worth it the extra few dollars that you spend a lot of savings from getting a plumber. Definitely perfect for doing it yourself. It’s really really easy for installation. It is top quality. It fits perfect and I have zero leakage. And this past weekend, I just replaced the line that goes to the outside water Spicket and I had to replace the shut off valve that always leaked whenever you touch it. I’m just so happy how this product works and amazing technology. They put behind it last as long as standard.

Tough, Simple Shut-Off Valve That Just Works
If you’ve ever messed around under a sink or behind a fixture trying to add a shut-off valve, you know how nice it is when a part just does its job without a circus. This SharkBite 1" ball valve is exactly that. Installation was fast — push-to-connect on my PEX lines with no soldering, no crimp rings, no fuss. It’s solid brass and feels like it’s built to stay put. Once it’s on, it stays on — no leaks, no wobble, and the handle operates smoothly. You actually feel it snap in place when you close it, which inspires confidence. The sizeable handle is easy to grab even in tight spots, and the valve turns cleanly. No half-open guessing — it’s either on or off. When you need a positive shut-off on a 1" line, this does the job without drama. If you’re doing DIY plumbing or pro work and want a reliable valve that doesn’t make you improvise, this is a no-nonsense choice. Fast install, solid build, and it works exactly like you expect it to.

OUTSTANDING AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
I've done a lot of plumbing work over the years and this was the first time I used Sharkbite instead of copper and soldered fittings. No matter how careful I've been, I've had my share of leaking soldered fittings that had to be resoldered. I was skeptical at first, but after installing a house full of Sharkbite fittings, NOT ONE SINGLE LEAK! I"M SOLD FOREVER! I will never go back to copper and soldered fittings. They're a bit more expensive that standard copper fittings, but they are faster and easier to use so the time saved more than makes up for the slightly higher cost. I highly recommend using Sharkbite fittings and that's all I will ever use again.

Easy and quick to install
I love the Shark Bite product line. I had a water line to a toilet that had no shutoff valve other than the leaky one at the toilet. I needed to add a valve to the water line in the basement so that I could change the valve at the toilet. I did have to turn off the water to the entire house to cut the water line. I sanded the water line to clean it prior to cutting and installing this Shark Bite valve took about 15 seconds once the pipe was cut. I was able to get the valve on and closed before all the standing water even ran out of the pipe. I have had no leaks and it works perfectly. Having worked to solder valve connections on before, I can say that the Shark Bite is infinitely easier. Soldering the last connection typically creates pressure in the pipe that makes it difficult to get the solder to flow properly. Using the Shark Bite eliminates that problem and the pipes can be wet, which is impossible when soldering. I have used these a few times before and they are highly recommended. I also used another Shark Bite valve at the toilet to eliminate the need to solder a new one there also.

I've been meaning (for 8 years now) to run a water line from our house into our attached garage. The main reason was for our fridge ice maker but I also wanted a hose access for those winter months. I finally decided to tackle the project. These are simply amazing. So easy to use and super fast. Once you prep your line properly, you simply push the line in the fitting, make sure it's seated all the way and Done! No more soldering. These are amazing especially for close quarters. Even if you mess up, you can simply remove them and fix your error. I have this one at the end of a temporary line that will go out the side of the garage this summer for an outside hose. (all the way to right of image) It's acting as cap right now but will be used to shut off the outside water during the winter months. Overall, these are a lifesaver. I know many people say these type of fittings don't last but I've seen homes that have had them for years with no leaks. I took a chance with these and I'm confident they will last a long time (hopefully forever). I highly recommend these especially if plumbing is not your thing. Pros: Super easy to install reusable solid, no leaks full brass fitting Cons: costly compared to normal fittings can only re-use so many times
