Great gift for my friend

It’s cute and well packaged, though my boyfriend is having a hard time getting it to grow...I’m sure it’s user error ;-)

Gave this to my cousin as a gift, she loved it but it looked like an STD as the final product which made us laugh more

Cute idea, but in practice it's hard to grow consistently, as the top (head) dries up really quickly and if one doesn't keep up with misting or watering the head a few times a day, the seeds on top will dry out and die, while the bottom grows beautifully.

Love the little Groot, but I cannot get the seeds to grow. Just failed again at my 3rd attempt. Trying everything that is recommended, watching YouTube videos, and still failing. He will make a cute decoration about all I can do with him at this point until I buy different seeds.

Got this for our young children. They absolutely loved it. It is super easy to grow. It came with enough chia seeds that it could be done multiple times. We are on our 2 cycle and chias are starting to sprout. After this cycle ends I have enough that i will be doing it again. LOVE IT!

Update- it is impossible to grow chia seeds from Groot’s head. Sprouts from the base only. If water is filled to keep the seeds in his head this results in too much water at the base- molded and overwatered seeds at the base. I’ve tried simply daily misting, cotton balls in the top to keep head hydrated and prevent overwatering of the bottom. All methods so far ineffective. Decades of chia pet experience (lol embarrassing to admit!) but this shape is impossible. Love Groot but I’d say impossible to grow sprouts from his head. Will try pasting the top with compost and soil because I have that stuff here- acid gardener and microgreen sprouter. Thought he’d be fun for my daughter. No way a kid could make this design work. I haven’t figured out how to do it. I grow chia seeds on different mediums every 4-14 days nearly every week since 1992 and I cannot figure out a way to make this little guy successful. If someone is successful please send photo and instructions as I’d love to know what it takes.

Its a terracotta moss shelf shaped like baby groot. Nuff said. Works as long as you use it right. Good height for a desk and not messy, great office gift.

Bought for my niece and nephew. They really lived them.

Bought as a gift. She really wanted one. But it never really sprouted well. Its in a cupboard now after she did everything instructions said and even tried some intenet tricks.
