Audubon Bird Call - Red

I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this, but it’s actually pretty interesting. It’s a very simple wooden bird call, and once you get the hang of it, it does a decent job of mimicking bird sounds.It takes a bit of practice to get consistent sounds out of it—at first it just sounded squeaky—but after watching a quick video and messing with it for a while, it started to sound much better.It’s lightweight and easy to carry, and the red gift pack makes it feel like a nice little novelty item or stocking stuffer. Not something I use every day, but it’s fun to mess with outside.Overall, a cool little nature gadget if you’re into birds or just want something different to try.

These bird calls are awesome. I had one 30 years ago and lost it 25 years ago. I just bought another one and it sounds awesome. I've called in chickadees, swallows, owls, hawks, eagles, swans, zebras, lions, wildebeests, two giraffes, a polar bear, one anaconda and a yellow-bellied sap sucker.Make sure you dump a little of the pine rosin into the barrel and don't use too much pressure. A light touch is better.

My first one came with the capsule containing powdered rosin missing andthe little box it came in was not damaged, but had been jumbled around to the point of the capsule, falling out somewhere along the process. Sent it back and received a new one in short order and it was in perfect shape. I love that little call as you can make all sorts of squeaks and chirps drawing in various curious birds (once you get the hang of it)

Love this little device. Well made and does as advertised. Takes practice to attract birds but Eventually with a little experimentation it is magical .

Classic bird call that all enthusiasts should own!

Item arrived on time. Rosin capsule was stuck in the hole of the handle. Plastic capsule was very brittle and cracked, spreading rosin all around. The call seems to work fine now but I don't have any rosin left if the call needs it.

Got this for my bird loving hubby and it’s now a fidget toy for when he’s outside calling the birds haha! We both love it!

Kids love using this on our farm to call the birds. My boys are 3 and 2 and my 3 year old loves to use it by himself. After watching his big brother my 2 year old has a great go at it too and it just adds a bit more excitement to a walk with adventurous boys!

I know someone with one of these and they are very happy with it. That’s why I bought one.
