Works very well, easy to use and completely obfuscates the personal info

I think this is a great product. It blocks out personal information very well on a number of items. I bought it predominately to block out names and address labels on delivered items which saves cutting off the labels and shredding them. It goes some way to avoiding personal information being stolen for fraudulent purposes . I haven't used the refill vials yet so can't comment on how easy that is but the instructions on the box look pretty straight forward. The only thing that you have to ink roller several times is laminated style information/paper. Despite this I have still given it 5 stars as its saved me time shredding.

Excellent - does a good job

Most of the sensitive documents I need to securely dispose of have probably been printed from a laser printer so that's how I tested this roller. The roller is easy to use, seems well constructed and certainly puts a lot of ink on the paper. Despite this, the ink is touch-dry in about 10 seconds and seems fully dry in under a minute. Initially, the results appear impressive. A casual observer would think that the underlying print had been fully obscured but a determined snooper would likely persist. Turn the roller ink treated page around in good light and, with a bit of patience, some of the original printed information becomes visible because the original print reflects light differently than the roller ink and looks slightly lighter in colour. This effect may well depend on the original print ink but I tried this on prints from three different sources and the results were similar. I also used a thick, permanent black marker pen (Masterbrand) and crossed through some laser print. As with the roller ink, most of the print showed through when carefully examined in favourable light. The marker pen ink was slightly worse at obscuring original print (compared to roller ink) due to the solid/unbroken ink covering, whereas the roller deposits 'random' characters (i.e. not solid ink). Rolling the ink over print more than once made the underlying print slightly more readable and so achieved about the same level of performance as a marker pen. Dabbing a moist tissue gently onto the print treated with the roller and marker pen inks also helped reveal underlying print. Using both these techniques, I eventually managed to read about 80% of the original print. Based on my simple, and far from exhaustive tests, I'd rate the permanent marker pen as 5/10, this ink roller as 6 or 7/10, a cross-cut shredder - with several shredded sheets combined - as 9/10 (assuming the original print font wasn't tiny) and complete incineration as 10/10. Question is: what level of security do you want?

It does exactly what it says it does…very happy with the product…no need for expensive shredders, just buy this.

Completely obliterates whatever sensitive information it’s rolled over. Great alternative when no microcut shredders are available.

Wonderful product that works perfectly! One swipe & all personal info is covered with dark black ink. Ink dries quickly, unless it's on shiny paper, then it takes a bit longer to dry. Price was very reasonable plus it includes 6 ink refills. Purchased 1 for myself & then bought 2 more for Christmas gifts.

Simplemente lo quería para lo que es, para correspondencia y documentos que quiero tirar a la basura sin reflejar mis datos personales, y eso lo cumple de sobra, si al caso solo una pega, y es que es una tinta que no es rápida y si no tienes cuidado puedes emborronar o mancharte.
